Hi, I wonder if we can have a few more eyes on the Shane English School article, as for past week or so, it has been subject to repeated attempts by an ip-hopping editor to add unsourced defamatory claims. I've requested temporary page protection (for a second time), but that won't stop SPAs created to continue re-adding unsourced material. Thanks. --DAJF (talk) 09:23, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I think it is worth noting that this school has received coverage in the news regarding their employment practices, and links to news articles were provided in the "external links" section by the person who was adding to the page. So it is not entirely correct that they were unsourced claims. So rather than flat out "protecting" the article, what really needs to happen is that the recent coverage be properly addressed using the news sources as inline citations. I've done some very minor clean up and added a few maintenance templates. Just a thought after a brief scan through the article: it's a bit confusing referring to the school as "Shane" because the owner's first name is also Shane. I'm assuming a statement such as "Shane will face the union in Tokyo District court this year" is referring to the school, but this probably should be made clearer so as not to be read as applying to the owner (even if technically it probably means the same thing). Since it is a chain of schools, "the company" is probably most appropriate. That is assuming it is a company-wide issue, rather than problems at individual schools. AtHomeIn神戸 (talk) 04:23, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Good point about being a chain. I've done a little more clean up. Personally, it would be easier to use citation templates instead of the older manual formatting, but either way is workable. I am trying to make sense of the interior design of the Roteki-an tea house at User:Bamse/Jōdo-ji (Onomichi). As reliable sources I have from the temple's homepage: [1] and [2]; and bunka. Less reliable sources: [3], [4] and [5] (page 136). Particularly I would like to know what the 4 / 4.5 mat room(s) are (水屋及び四畳、四畳半の勝手よりなる). Would appreciate any help with this. This must be trivial, but I just got confused. (source is here) I understand that 光阿吉近 = Kōa Yoshichika is a name and 子息 = son, correct? I believe 光阿吉近の子息 would be the son of Kōa Yoshichika, but what is the meaning here, when it is the other way around? bamse (talk) 08:20, 29 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, thanks. I misread Kōa Midabutsu as "Amida". So the full sentence (弘安元年（1278）10月，尾道の富商・光阿弥陀仏のために，子息の光阿吉近（こうあよしちか）が建てた供養塔) is something like: "In 10-1278, the son, Kōa Yoshichika, had a memorial tower built for his father, a wealthy Onomichi businessman/trader."? bamse (talk) 21:40, 29 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
