Bunmei Kaika and Bunmei-kaika should be merged, but neither article is of good quality, so it's hard to figure out how to merge them. Could someone help with this? Zhen Zhen (talk) 20:22, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This might be a long-shot, but see Commons:Deletion requests/File:Nakano-Takeko-Portrait-Hokaiji-Temple-Kyoto.png . There's an image (a portrait? a photo? a retouched photo? a retouched photo of an actress in period-appropriate garb?) that's allegedly of someone who died in 1868... so it should probably be public domain (and the discussion is trending this way)... but even if it is, there's a lot unclear about this image. It's from a website that merely credits it to "Hōkai-ji collection" without any further elaboration... and she wasn't famous before she died, so did she really sit for a portrait before her death? Or was this some random actress dressed the part? If anyone wants to investigate this (there is a phone number for the temple on their website, at least, although would require a Japanese-speaker and someone in Japan to avoid long-distance fees), that might be helpful, since the image description is rather wanting even if the image is kept.
