Talk:E5 and H5 Series Shinkansen

Meager information

The quality of this article is very poor, and too short to constitute a independent account. I consider there are many problems in this article, and think the evaluation C is inappropriate then set right it.--A Japanologist (talk) 11:45, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on E5 Series Shinkansen. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Please check the H5 series talk page

I posted the content “Shouldn't articles on the E5 and H5 series be integrated“ in the H5 series talk. I would appreciate it if you could check it. Transitmethod (talk) 22:08, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal

I posted a merge proposal. See Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Trains in Japan#Merge proposal: E5 and H5 series.Shinkansen Fan (talk) 14:44, 19 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Replacement reasons

Why did this newer series replace the 200 series, the E1 series, the E2 series, and the E4 series? Clrichey (talk) 02:53, 3 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

While it applies less to the E2 series, a major factor is top operating speed. The 200 series, E1 series, and E4 series only operated at 240km/h compared to the top speed of the E7 (and E2) series at 270kph. Exp691 (talk) 03:57, 3 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
