Talk:1st parallel south

Delete page?

I've removed the proposed deletion tag because I feel that this article has notability and so should stay.
User:NawlinWiki's reason for deletion was "unencyclopedic -- are we going to have 180 of these?" My answer to this is that, no there probably won't be 180, but I think that all notable parallels and meridians should have an article (see Circle of latitude). 1°S is notable as it defines parts of two international boundaries.
I'd like to ask, which of the criteria in WP:NOT do you think the article falls under? I can't see which one you mean. Bazonka (talk) 21:41, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • The part about WP not being an indiscriminate collection of information. As long as you're not planning on creating 2 S, 3 S, etc., and given the international boundary rationale, I can understand this one. NawlinWiki (talk) 21:46, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm not convinced. I'll need some time to think this one over. Nevermind. —Latischolartalkcontributions 00:17, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
