Jahanabad-e Sofla (Persian: جهان اباد سفلي, also Romanized as Jahānābād-e Soflá; also known as Jahānābād-e Pā’īn)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Jahanabad Rural District[4] of the Central District of Hirmand County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 362 in 81 households, when it was in the former Miyan Kongi District of Zabol County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 511 people in 136 households,[6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Hirmand County.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 451 people in 136 households.[2]
