Could you help with the references. Drmies is not a happy camper. I don't have access to these sources. Robin Page Arnot, A History of the Scottish Miners, p.66" (note 2) lacks bibliographical information and is, unlike three other books, cited in the note, not in the Sources section; same with " Robin Page Arnot, A History of the Scottish Miners, p.420" (note 10). Hi pal - Good work on the Hollow Meadows article, in fact very good. That's an interesting one for me as I work out at Rivelin Dams very close to HM. I had a nice photo of the hamlet taken from the Head Stone on the moorland (I can't find it now). Friend of mine lives in Hollow Meadows Mews which are the swish apartments made from the old truants school / mental hospital buildings. BTW Rik Allen out of Def Leppard had his accident at Hollow Meadows when he lost his arm, that might be worth mentioning in the article, as might be the Head Stone as it's very visible on the left hand side as you drive up the A57 towards Moscar. Actually, Anderson, Drain, Daly and Jinkinson were Gen Secs after the union changed its name to the National and Local Government Officers' Association in 1952. I've added what I can find; he doesn't seem to have been a significant figure in the mining unions or the ILP, so there's nothing from them. Hello. I've revamped the contest page into this, based on the new British model. Long term goal, but I've added entries since the beginning of July to give it some initial life. Hi, I have drawn a blank on researching Belcher and wondered if your access to sources could shed any light. He stood at Dudley in 1900 as a Lib-Lab candidate. I have found his postcard from 1904 that suggests he may have been re-adopted, though he never stood for the UK parliament again. Nothing relating to trade unionism, but I've found some information, mostly in The Times. He lived at Castle Douglas, on Cranes Park in Surbiton, and in 1900 was described as a "brickmaster" (Worcestershire Chronicle, 6 October 1900). After 1900, he was re-adopted as the Dudley PPC, but stood down in 1905 (Times, 8 February 1905). He was adopted as PPC for Fulham in 1912 (Times, 31 May 1912). In 1900, he was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (RGS Yearbook 1902). Possibly the same person or a relative, a William Belcher of Kingston celebrated his diamond wedding anniversary in 1940 and was described as a former world draughts champion (Times, 9 January 1940) - that individual had been president of the London Draughts Association in 1899 (Licensed Victuallers Mirror, 26 December 1898). A new user group, New Page Reviewer, has been created in a move to greatly improve the standard of new page patrolling. The user right can be granted by any admin at PERM. It is highly recommended that admins look beyond the simple numerical threshold and satisfy themselves that the candidates have the required skills of communication and an advanced knowledge of notability and deletion. Admins are automatically included in this user right.

It is anticipated that this user right will significantly reduce the work load of admins who patrol the performance of the patrollers. However,due to the complexity of the rollout, some rights may have been accorded that may later need to be withdrawn, so some help will still be needed to some extent when discovering wrongly applied deletion tags or inappropriate pages that escape the attention of less experienced reviewers, and above all, hasty and bitey tagging for maintenance. I take it from your Thanking me for the revision I made to the WFTDA D1 Template that you approve of my being bold in how to define membership? (that is: that relevant membership is as of June 30, as that determines Playoff eligibility which is really the only reason to have Divisions right now) I updated most of the member teams, but may have missed some, unsure. Also, I moved former members into the former member list at Women's Flat Track Derby Association Division 1, although I have to go back and add "departure" dates. I figure for that, use the rankings release date where they crossed the 41 threshold. Thoughts? I suspect there are a few teams that weren't listed as members after that was first set up, that then became members of D1 and subsequently fell out of D1; that will take more research to verify. I'll probably dump the top 40 rankings into a spreadsheet to compare numbers unless you had other thoughts?

I absolutely approve of you being bold and making these updates; I do wonder if it would be easier to scrap these infoboxes and set up new ones by continent/country/region/state (depending on number of leagues in the part of the world)? They would be easier to maintain and have a clearer justification - I don't believe Division 3 really exists any more, and I don't think Division 2 has any meaning for teams which don't make the D2 playoffs. Hmm, you may be right about D3 actually. The WFTDA recently launched a new mobile-friendly site at .com, and the link to the Competitive Division doc on there is busted, but they split off parts of the original site to wftda.org (side note: many historical links used as citations on wftda.com are now needing to be updated - the URLs for example for recaps of older tournaments are the same but just replace .com with .org...) and the doc is still on .org here: [1]. Sure enough, there is no mention of D3 in there. It also no longer lists the D2 cutoff as being at 100 as it used to. Based on this, it could very well be that for all intents and purposes D2 now just means teams ranked 41-60 (and that doc also neglects to mention that teams outside that range may play at D2 Playoffs if higher-ranked teams decline).

I may reach out to some of the higher ups in the org (as someone who announces at Playoffs I have contact with a few of them) to see if there is something more detailed and clear that is lurking on the redesigned website that currently doesn't come up due to the update. Long story short: it's probably worth holding off on a D2 update pending what the definition should really be. And maybe the D3 article should get updated to say it's obsolete at some point. (and the D3 template is always going to be mostly redlinks, so maintaining it is hardly worth it probably.)

If we switch to per-country templates that could work - aside from fact that there are a few countries with only one member, for which a template isn't worth it. And would also be heavily-populated with redlinks in some cases. Maybe just stick with D1 and D2 templates for now, as most leagues in the top 60 have articles now? Yes, that's a good point about redlinks (although mostly in the U.S., most leagues in other countries are locally significant enough to merit articles, though that might not be the case forever). Happy to stick with D1 and D2 templates for now and think about options again in future. I'll take a look at sources for a possible article on Team United over the next few days, too. Ok cool. And yes, you're right, the redlinks will likely be mostly for US leagues. In the interim, I have been working on a couple of other series of updates: 1) I've been updating rankings and playoff appearances in the rankings tables for D1 teams - in the current template, I've done the non-US teams thus far and am working alphabetically through the US teams. As I noted before, the historical citations for older rankings I have now been relying on archived shots of the rankings pages, and pre-2016 Playoffs articles on the WFTDA site still exist, but at the .org suffix, not the .com. Mentioning this in case it helps you when working on Team United. (Where possible, I am trying to use either old DNN articles - which still exist also, although the URL changed from derbynewsnetwork.com to derbynews.net when they archived everything - or Derby Central for more recent articles.) 2) I have simultaneously been working on adding citations and notes about the original 30 WFTDA member leagues; naturally, WFTDA themselves don't have this on their website anywhere, but I resurrected an old map that was once in the main WFTDA article and restored it, and am using it to guide searches. I found an online book source that covers some of them, but only the first so many are viewable as not all the pages in that book are available online: [2] In the main WFTDA article, I think the map will suffice and doesn't require a detailed list, unless you had another opinion. I've been adding this map to the pages of the leagues in question; I considered a template for the "original 30" but figured that might be template overkill. Thank you for your recent articles, including Peter Fox (journalist), which I read with interest. When you create a new article, can you add the WikiProject assessment templates to the talk of that article? See the talk page of the article I mentioned for an example of what I mean. Usually it is very simple, you just add something like {{WikiProject Keyword}} to the article's talk, with keyword replaced by the associated WikiProject (ex. if it's a biography article, you would use WikiProject Biography; if it's a United States article, you would use WikiProject United States, and so on). You do not have to rate the article if you do not want to, others will do it eventually. Those templates are very useful, as they bring the articles to a WikiProject attention, and allow them to start tracking the articles through Wikipedia:Article alerts and other tools. For example, WikiProject Poland relies on such templates to generate listings such as Article Alerts, Popular Pages, Quality and Importance Matrix and the Cleanup Listing. Thanks to them, WikiProject members are more easily able to defend your work from deletion, or simply help try to improve it further.
