Re: Thanks for your correction/tweaking/clean-up

No problem. I shouldn't have reverted all of your changes to American Doll Posse though. The changes you made to the charts table (other than moving the release dates there) were good. If you have the time, would you mind restoring those changes? (Can't do it myself, have to go now.) --PEJL 05:28, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey PEJL, thanks for the comment. I assume you mean that deleting the 'Provider' column? --Pisceandreams 12:16, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Hey Jupiter cover.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Hey Jupiter.jpg. The copy called Image:Hey Jupiter.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 01:29, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, sorry about that! I didn't think that the upload worked the first time, so I altered the name for the second upload to avoid any possible confusion. The Image:Hey Jupiter.jpg can be deleted. --Pisceandreams 01:47, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

How's it going? Take a look at the Tori Amos discography page. Don't want to toot my own horn, but it's looking pretty good! Sorry I haven't helped you much on the b-side page. I will convert that last bit to a table soon, don't worry. Samuel Grant (talk) 03:32, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The list has been converted. Still not a perfect page, but at least the bulk of the work is done. I just noticed too that the tables on the discography page are not colored in Internet Explorer 6 (but appear correctly in Firefox and Opera), so that's another to-do. Samuel Grant (talk) 04:22, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for finishing up the B-sides page! I just added a few finishing touches. The Tori Amos discography page is looking pretty snazzy as well! I'll look through it soon for any typos, etc.--Pisceandreams 20:57, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just seen the revert and it was obviously wrong! Thanks for putting it right.

Oh, somewhere I found a very old article on feminist response on CA. When I was working on the character pages (Jill, Sabrina, etc), I'm pretty sure I cited it for something. I'll see if I can find it. Btw, I didn't mention it before, but I think you do great on the main article as well. Cheers!--Cbradshaw (talk) 05:05, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tori Amos sources

Good to touch base with you again, and many thanks for doing so much for the Tori Amos-related articles. Seriously, the American Doll Posse article is great. I'm feeling good about the main Tori Amos article, too; this is the best it's ever been, and it keeps getting better. One major problem now though is its lack of sources. If you could help out in that area it would be awesome. Samuel Grant (talk) 21:44, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I noticed that the main Tori Amos article is lacking sources. I was kind of waiting for the article to take shape before starting to plug in sources, but like you said, the article is the best it's ever been, so maybe now's the time to start sourcing stuff. I'll pitch in as much as I can. --Pisceandreams (talk) 01:54, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tori Amos Australian ARIA Chart peaks beyond #50

Hi, the ARIA Chart publishes a report containing the full top 100 singles and albums charts (plus other detailed charts) which is available by subscription. They publish a top 50 singles and albums chart from this which is made available to the public, as free printed charts available in record stores, as well as online - http://www.aria.com.au/ , and archived from Jun 1988 until present on a website not published by ARIA here: http://australian-charts.com/weekoverview.asp

I obtained Tori's peaks for singles charting between #51 and #100 from 'The ARIA Report', the subscription publication produced by ARIA containing the top 100 charts. Copies of this report are held in a few of the State Libraries in Australia, and are catalogued by the State Library of Victoria as follows (see http://www.slv.vic.gov.au/catalogues/index.html )

Title: The ARIA report : ARIA chart / the Australian Record Industry Association Ltd. Series dates: [Issue no. 1 (14th Jan. 1990)]-issue no. 271 (23rd Apr. 1995) Publisher/Date: St. James, N.S.W. : The Association, [1990]-1995.

Title: The ARIA report / Australian Record Industry Association. Series dates: Issue no. 385 (13th July 1997)-issue no. 556 (23 Oct. 2000) Publisher/Date: Sydney : The Association, 1997-2000.

The report has been made available electronically since 2001, and is archived on the pandora website, e.g. http://pandora.nla.gov.au/pan/23790/20031207-0000/Issue720.pdf

One album of Tori's (Tales of a Librarian) peaked beyond #50 on the ARIA Chart at #93, which will appear on one of the .pdf files archived on the pandora website. Nqr9 (talk) 22:28, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I assume you also added 'citation needed' to "The double-disc set entered the Australian ARIA Charts Top 100 Albums chart on the week ending 11th December 1994, peaking at #44 and spending 6 weeks on the chart.[citation needed]" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Under_the_Pink#More_Pink:_The_B-Sides - this is also taken from The ARIA Report, where it spent 6 weeks in the top 100 albums chart. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nqr9 (talkcontribs) 01:17, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the compromise

Not sure how to do this "talk" thing yet, but wanted to thank you for compromising with me on the AAtS page. I will admit, I was annoyed you even touched, considering all the work I put into it (I'm also address 174......). However, I'll admit, sometimes we need some perspective and you did improve the album's page. It flows better. I was getting a bit long-winded b/c of all of the great quotes I was finding by Tori on this album.

Also, if you decide to review and change any of MG's - please leave the Critic's section alone. I'm very proud of it and think it does the album justice. I do think the MG's page is, however, shorter and appropriate. But still, you seem to be better at this (Wiki-ing) than I (for now) ;)

All of this took a lot of time and hard work, but thank you for helping out.

RE: BOYS FOR PELE

Okay. This is my favorite album by Tori. Although I like the wikipage for it - it's missing SO much info that I find both relevant and encyclopedic.

It's funny that you're in charge of it cause I was going to "contact the person responsible" for the page to see if I could contribute.

I don't think it's badly done at all - just to clarify. It's just, I have such a love for it that I want so much more to be known about it.

In either case, check out the Track-by-Track Commentary by Tori Amos I just finished typing up for BfP.

RE: NIGHT OF HUNTERS

Thank you for contributing as well! I've been enjoying it, too. Yeah, I understand the confusion about the tour. My instinct would've been to do the same thing you did until I read Newsom's album page. I just thought it flowed better and, when you think of it, in about 6 months, the tour will be "background" info for the album, i.e. how it was promoted.

So yeah. I'm also adding a new blurb from a rather fantastically written review. It's a blog, but it's so well written and we have so little professional reviews written, I think it'll do nicely for now (I may decide to keep it there altogether) ;)

Thanks for dropping me a message and thanks for all the help/support!

Night of Hunters

Hello. As you might (or might not) have seen, recently I and MarkAlexisGabriel/174.48.3.206 have been disagreeing about the use of the phrase "mastery of the piano". I have pointed out that to use the word "mastery" is to offer an evaluation of the quality of her ability, and thus can only be included in the article if it were to come from something like a critical review. M.A.G. disagrees. I tried to engage him in discussion on Talk:Night of Hunters, but that did not last long. He just decided to insist he was right and revert any change. Anyway, since you seem to be around and have participated before in editing this page, I wonder if you might be willing to offer an opinion on the issue on the talk page. It would be appreciated. 99.192.77.204 (talk) 02:48, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Critical Reception for Night of Hunters

I was browsing some Wiki entries and noticed the "critical response" section for Joanna Newsom's Have One On Me. It's twice as big as our section for Night of Hunters. I think we should leave all of the reviews we have accumulated where they are. We are still awaiting Rolling Stone's and Billboard magazine's reviews. Those will go up as well. Tell me what you think. I also posted this under the "discussion" tab. MarkAlexisGabriel (talk)

I think that so long as all of the information is pertinent, it can all be kept. Perhaps the section could be split into 2 (even 3?) paragraphs so as not to have one long, meandering paragraph loaded with quotes. Like you said, there are still a few major publications that have yet to weigh in on the album, so I'd say leave it as is for now and whenever we have everything we can start re-arranging and what not. Sound good? =) --Pisceandreams (talk) 19:47, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Tori Amos [email protected]

Thank you for uploading File:Tori Amos [email protected].
