File source problem with File:Vult.Rom.II.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Vult.Rom.II.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:28, 20 February 2011 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) 20:28, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Buna ideea cu stema! Imaginea in discutie aici pare a fi identica cu cea de pe hartia de 5000 de lei (vezi articol). Apropos, hai si tu la proiectul Dacia daca vrei. --Codrin.B (talk) 14:32, 11 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Do no keep removing Hungarian as a language of Romania. Hungarian is an important historical language in the country and there is still a significant minority of Hungarian speakers in Transylvania. This has been discussed before at that list, that the list will include not just official languages, but languages of significant minorities or languages of historical significance. Thus, you will find Spanish at Philippines. Do not delete it again. The regular editors there have agreed many times in the past that the list will include more than just official languages. --Taivo (talk) 19:20, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You ignored the part of my post that said "historical significance". You can't deny that Hungarian has an important place in Romanian history. We're not talking about Serbia or any other country right now, we're talking about the place of Hungarian in ROMANIA. Read the actual Talk Page and archives, dude. You'll see that this has been discussed multiple times in the past and always the result is that historically important languages or languages of significant minorities have a place. Consensus rules on Wikipedia and despite your personal opinion, the majority of editors have seen that Hungarian has a place in Romania's entry. I've looked at your contributions and you have no real interest in the list of sovereign states, only in shaping Romania's entry to your personal whim. This list isn't based on individual whims, but on the consensus of editors that have been involved for months or years. You're being overly sensitive, don't you think? Whatever perceived "harm" you think adding Hungarian to Romania's entry will cause you is all in your head. --Taivo (talk) 13:10, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
In your time on Wikipedia, surely you have encountered the principle of WP:OTHERSTUFF. "But that's not the way it is at X" is not a valid argument in Wikipedia discussions. If you feel strongly that Russian needs to be added at the entry for Azerbaijan, then add it. But we're talking about Romania here. Hungarian has a valid place in Romania's history. Are you denying that? Are you denying that Timisoara's name isn't Hungarian originally? Are you denying that there is a significant and ancient Hungarian minority in Romania? That's the point here--that Hungarian has a legitimate place as one of the languages in the Romanian entry. In the end, you're totally overreacting to this. You're perceiving this as some sort of attack on Romania. Stop being so ridiculous. It's a Wikipedia entry that lists the name of Romania in Hungarian. It's not an invasion force on the outskirts of Bucharest or even Timisoara. Chill out and keep contributing constructively in other places on Wikipedia. Trying to remove the Hungarian name of Romania isn't worth your time and effort. --Taivo (talk) 19:18, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
If you examine the whole issue of what languages to list, you will find much discussion and a general agreement that historical languages are relevant as well. Look at the discussions on the Philippines and Spanish, for example. The whole issue has been decided on this list--official languages, languages of significant minorities, and languages of recent historical interest. Hungarian fits two of those three criteria. It doesn't matter what Romanians think of Hungarian, it is a language of historical interest to Romania in Wikipedia's terms. And no one is claiming that Romania as a whole was a "colony" of Hungary. But Transylvania was a part of Hungary and inhabited solely by Hungarians for centuries longer than it's been part of Romania. That "colonization" comment says loads about your POV and the real reason you want to remove Hungarian from the entry. This list isn't about politics, so don't make it such. In case you missed it, here is the exact text of footnote 1: "The names of the items in the list are given in English, as well as in the official, national, major minority, and historically important languages of the state". Hungarian definitely fits in the last and the next to last categories for Romania. --Taivo (talk) 21:40, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, there was a German minority in Transylvania for a time, but the majority of Transylvanians as far back as 1000 or so were Magyars/Hungarians. At this point, you have nothing new to offer. You have no valid Wikipedia-based reason to delete the Hungarian variant of Romania's name. The article clearly delineates what languages can/must be included in a country's entry and Hungarian unequivocally fits within those criteria for inclusion. Indeed, Hungarian even has official status within those communities and regions of Transylvania where the Hungarian population exceeds 20% (see this map). Good day. --Taivo (talk) 10:22, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:AVID0032.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:AVID0032.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. A tag has been placed on Coat of arms of Baia Mare, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

No content apart from infobox. The coat of arms is already featured at Baia Mare and this article adds nothing to Wikipedia

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Oddbodz (talk) 13:13, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Coat of arms of Ploieşti, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Moreover, please add more verifiable sources, not only 3rd party sources. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Disambiguation link notification for September 10

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Commemorative coins of Romania, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Dacian Wars (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Your Pages

Hello, I would like to inform you that I have moved your pages "Chamber of Deputies candidates" and "Senate candidates" to "Senate of Romania/Senate candidates" and "Romanian Chamber of Deputies/Chamber of Deputies candidates". I merely thought that charts of canidates may not be able to stand apart as separate articles from their respective departments, so I turned them into subpages.

Plus, there is a message here that seems to indicate that somebody thinks the article may be a deletion canidate (note that when I said I didn't care about the article, I meant that I knew nothing of Romanian government so it was of no significance to me personally and that the table was incomplete, so I thought you didn't either).

Just letting you know so you know where they are and can hopefully finish (and source) the table before this proposed deletion actually happens. I interlinked them in the now main articles, so they won't become orphaned. So, anyway, just wanted to let you know that your articles have been moved. --██████ 21:36, 28 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Results of the Romanian legislative election wikitables

I propose we revise the way the tables were constructed, as the current composition was intended for the elections using the first-past-the-post system. Since this system has been abandoned, I propose the following columns be removed:

  • seats gained
  • seats lost
  • rename net change in seats to seats change or something more appropiate

That is all, and it will make the tables look much better.

File permission problem with File:AVID8458.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:AVID8458.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included.

If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 22:25, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Radio Romania.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Radio Romania.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Radio România Actualități requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Prime Minister of Romania, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page MEP (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Results tables templates

Hello ES Vic. I see you have created a few results templates recently. Just an FYI that these are gradually being deleted (as you can see from the message directly above this one), as it's preferable to keep the results on an article – largely as (a) templates shouldn't be used for tables only used once (which usually becomes the case within a few years) and (b) template space has much fewer watchers and is prone to vandalism.

What you can do is to create the results table directly in an article, then use the {{#section-h:2019 Foolandian presidential election|Results}} function to transpose it to another article (see an example at Politics of Lithuania#Political parties and elections, where all three tables are transposed from the election articles). Cheers,

2024 Romanian presidential election moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, 2024 Romanian presidential election, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Your draft article, Draft:2024 Romanian presidential election

Hello, ES Vic. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "2024 Romanian presidential election".

If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

File permission problem with File:Chamber of Deputies of Romania.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Chamber of Deputies of Romania.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. mattbr 05:45, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
