using a Czech road sign as a decorative icons
I see no reason to include File:CZ-IJ11a Restaurace.svg in this template. (1) it is purely decorative, and would be better replaced by a picture of the actual Michelin guide, and (2) this sign is not used in the Netherlands. Frietjes (talk) 21:37, 23 June 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Most restaurant signs in Europe are similar is design. This Czech sign is clear enough to convey the purpose that this template is about restaurant. The real Dutch signs are of this type what is similar enough. How many people will recognize a) that there is a difference with Dutch signs and b) that the used sign is Czech? Contemporary covers of Michelin Guides (e.g. File:Michelin nyc 2006.jpg) are protected by copyright, so use in a template is forbidden. I prefer for the template to have a graphic, rather than lack one. Perhaps a Dutch-based image that's similar to the present image can be used, if available. I think it's pretty clear and conveys that the template is about dining. Though it may be Czech in origin, it conveys "dining" no matter where it's used. — Frεcklεfσσt | Talk 13:16, 24 June 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Why the fuss about the icon? Al those road signs convey the same message: FOOD. And personally, the rather dark Czech version looks better: version with Belgian sign versus present version. I use the same icon on Template:Michelin stars in Ireland. Must that one be replaced too or is unity better and should the same picture be used everywhere? A icon is simply not required here . Remove it per WP:ICONDECORATIONGnevin (talk) 08:41, 1 July 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]
