@Ideophagous: Are honestly suggesting that Moroccans call the sfenj "Moroccan doughnut"? Target searches are meaningless (you could easily find "Moroccan + whatever Maghrebi dish), yet such nonsense will never make it into an encyclopedia. M.Bitton (talk) 15:29, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The retort concerned the previous reverts before even opening a discussion. Also the Wikipedia how-to page concerning reverts says the following:

Consider very carefully before reverting, as it rejects the contributions of another editor. Consider what you object to, and what the editor was attempting. Can you improve the edit, bringing progress, rather than reverting it? Can you revert only part of the edit, or do you need to revert the whole thing?

In short, this attitude of reverting everything (including legitimate sources) just because you disgaree with a portion of the edit is against the spirit of Wikipedia and what it stands for. Either you should seek clarification from the editor about the contention point before you revert, or you should adjust only the portion you have a problem with. The source says: "as a sign of hospitality, the Jew offered him tea and sfenj (Moroccan doughnuts)". This is clearly mentioned in brackets for those who don't have a clue what sfenj is.
