The areas given, 2 sqm for the core parts of the site and 6 sqm for the site overall, don't seem to match the reality. Could somebody check or confirm? I'm not sure if this'll get seen but there is an article on Choqueqirao on the German language wikipedia and not one on the English version so it'd be great if someone could translate. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Choquequirao

Made a start. Translated the first two sections Location and History form the German Wiki. Not being native in German or English I think it turned out reasonably well, please feel free to improve the English Version yet more... Eric I don't yet have a reference but I question the assertion that restoration began in the 1970s.I was there in summer 1979 and it was totally overgrown, to like six inches from the tops of the door lintels, with leaf detritus and dirt. They would have had to begin restoration between July and the end of December.
