Wikipedia:WikiProject Molecular Biology/Molecular and Cell Biology/Votes/director nominations

On this page, members may nominate themselves or others for the MCB director/coordinator position (the specific title is up for a vote here). Said person would be responsible for coordinating the drafting and posting of the monthly newsletter and maintainance the Article Improvement Drive and MCB Portal. In addition, a director would be in change of imagining ways of recruiting as well as any unforseen administrative tasks that might otherwise go undone. In short, he or she would responsible for setting the direction of the MCB wikiproject.

This is not a vote for the coordinator/director!. We will be accepting nominations only for a period of two weeks, ending on 8 October 2006. At the conclusion of the nomination period a new voting page will be opened, allowing us to choose among all available nominees.

Any member may nominate themselves or any other members for the position by adding the following text to the bottom of the page and updating it appropriately. Don't forget to notify the new nominee that he or she has been nominated, and the they should accept or decline the nomination!

ClockworkSoul has done a great deal for the project. He has helped rejuvenate the project and has introduced a wealth of ideas that have been successfully implemented. He has helped reorganize the main page of the project, has introduced the newsletter and has created such great things as this voting system. And don't forget the article improvement drives, which as you can see by the current article improvement article Cell nucleus have been successful.

I hereby nominate WillowW (talk · contribs) for the following reasons:

Willow has played a vital role in the new growth in the project. Her key contribution has been to the new evaluation system for articles related to the project. Including adding evaluations to the Wikiproject MCB template and implementing Mathbot to log all the pages evaluated in the project. She has also made several contributions on related matters, and I believe would serve well in the role.

• Wow, thank you. I appreciate the nomination very much, but leadership does not come naturally to me, and I'm still a relative newbie here. I hereby nominate JWSchmidt (talk · contribs) for the following reasons:

JWSchmidt is a cell biologist, with experience with teaching, and biochemistry. His contributions have improved many molecular biology and cell biology pages on wikipedia. Beyond his academic abilities, he is the founder of this project; he has done as much as anyone to get this project to the point it is at today.
