Not a widely used initialism based on internet search results. signed, Rosguill talk 14:39, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak keep Its predecessor became widely referred to as "ACNL" or "AC:NL". Since there is nothing else that has that acronym on Wikipedia, it seems harmless.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 14:49, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. If it's the only organisation with these initials, it makes sense to redirect the acronym there — maybe it's not commonly used, but it's unambiguous and not an error. If any other organisation with these initials gets an article, we can retarget or disambiguate the acronym, but until then, keep as is. Nyttend (talk) 23:09, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Beastmaster (character class)

The result of the discussion was delete. --BDD (talk) 03:10, 15 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Delete as overly vague video game terms. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 05:32, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Some of these were merged but I don't know if the content still exists there or in another article. Peter James (talk) 16:41, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Restore Final Fantasy character jobs as an article (considering the place where any applicable redirects' content was merged in Recurring elements in the Final Fantasy series no longer exists), retarget all applicable redirects targeting Recurring elements in the Final Fantasy series back to Final Fantasy character jobs, and then send Final Fantasy character jobs to WP:AFD. IMO, best nip this in the bud the best way possible and get all of these redirects eligible for deletion via WP:G8. Steel1943 (talk) 17:30, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
    • Delete all per nom. Let's just get rid of these things. Steel1943 (talk) 17:53, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
      • To wit: my opinion these should be deleted has nothing to do with whether the character jobs article should be deleted or not. They are simply too generic to only link to a page on Final Fantasy.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 00:57, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect to the dab page. I'm not familiar with every game that exists, but to take "Beastmaster" as an example - World of Warcraft has that class specialization. It is very plausible that someone would search for that an expect to get a result. The dab page could handle that, where editors can add links to the correct list entries (if they exist). Alternatively, it could also redirect to Ranger (character class) which does mention "Beastmaster". --Gonnym (talk) 10:32, 18 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • A dab page is meant to disambiguate articles. There is no article listing various classes in each game. That would be an improper use of redirects. The Ranger article is a dicdef and would probably be deleted if it was put in AfD because WP:NOTDICTIONARY.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 11:12, 18 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Montane and mountain meadows are apparently synonyms for each other. Alpine tundra is a mountain meadow, but many mountain meadows aren't alpine tundra at all; this is particularly significant in the southern Appalachians (USA), e.g. the large Big Meadows or the tiny GW Jeep Site both consist of grassland surrounded by woods, far below where the treeline would be. If I ran across one of these terms and wanted to learn more, I'd assume that a mountain meadow is always alpine tundra, so this pair of redirects unfortunately causes confusion. Delete unless someone can find a better target. Nyttend (talk) 02:42, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I thought to redirect this to the video game term "energy" as overly vague, but I realized this is also a tabletop gaming term. However, it is possessed by a large amount of deckbuilding-type games. It might have to be deleted as having no clear target. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 04:32, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Note that the page previously redirected to Pokémon Trading Card Game#Card_types since 2008, and was changed to the current target a few minutes before being nominated here. –Sonicwave talk 00:46, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Delete per WP:UNNATURAL. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 05:26, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • While most such redirects were purged a few months ago, I left this one because it has history that can't be merged with the correctly formatted Overdrive (Final Fantasy X). I don't object to deletion though if it's deemed unnecessary. PC78 (talk) 06:19, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. This seems related to Overdrive (Final Fantasy X). It was merged into the main article, so this will need proper attribution. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯MJLTalk 16:12, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. I reviewed the edit histories of both Overdrive (Final Fantasy X and Overdrive (Final Fantasy X), and per their histories and this edit, there is no reason (even per WP:CWW) to retain the edit history in the nominated redirect Overdrive (Final Fantasy X. Both of the edit histories contain nearly identical edits from identical editors and IPs, meaning that it seems as though the editors thought that both pages needed to have the same information, which is and was highly unnecessary. Steel1943 (talk) 17:37, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per Steel. There's no legal requirement to document every edit — all that matters is retaining the editors' names or pseudonyms, and you can't comply with this requirement for the edit history of X) without complying with the same requirement for the edit history of X. I'm glad Steel mentioned this, or I would have said "keep for attribution reasons", but as we're good there, we can treat it like any other redirect with a bad name. Implausible, WP:PANDORA redirect that has no spaces. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 05:23, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Zxcvbnm: Normally, we'd call those {{R from CamelCase}} but this seems to be a dupe (made way after the early 2000's as it was intended). @Steel1943: Why did you make this? –MJLTalk 06:45, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Final Fantasy#Gameplay. CamelCase version of Gameplay of Final Fantasy. May be created in 2012 (learned a few months later that we shouldn't proactively be creating CamelCase redirects anymore; this redirect was created during what was my first few months of regular editing, trying to understand Wikipedia), but the redirect is neither misleading or harmful. WP:PANDORA does not apply since this isn't necessarily "unhelpful". Steel1943 (talk) 11:49, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget per above. Though, I don't think {{R from CamelCase}} applies because it's not {{R with old history}}. I guess this is WP:CHEAP. –MJLTalk 18:05, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
