The result of the discussion was dabify. --BDD (talk) 16:44, 3 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Delete: Papadopoli is an Italian noble family and, as far as I can see, has nothing to do with Leopold Prowe WQUlrich (talk) 18:39, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Okay, I see that Prowe was responsible for debunking a work about Copernicus by a certain Niccolò Comneno Papadopoli, but that article is already linked to Prowe and the redirect adds nothing. WQUlrich (talk) 23:41, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Niccolò Comneno Papadopoli as redirect from surname OR Dabify between Niccolò Comneno Papadopoli and Palazzo Papadopoli --Lenticel (talk) 00:03, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate per Lenticel; no reason to delete, although of course if we didn't know that those articles existed, deletion would be the best course. Nyttend (talk) 16:58, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment; Lenticel's dabify suggestion seems good, because there could also be articles about the Papadopoli family and the Giardini Papadopoli. WQUlrich (talk) 21:13, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Y with a line

  • Y with a line¥  (links · history · stats)     [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]

This could refer to a few different things, and I'm not sure how plausible it is as a search term. It may refer to Y with stroke and Ȳ. Also, the current target is technically incorrect as "¥" has two lines. -- Tavix (talk) 04:25, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete as strange. Y with an = sign is more correct. Legacypac (talk) 05:04, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: This redirect has already been nominated for deletion. Shirt58 removed it with the reason being "Speedy deletion declined. "Y with a line" describes ¥ accurately enough. Plenty of google-hits along the lines of "what is this Y with a line?" with ¥ as answer". This might fall under the same thing. The article name only has 1 line as well. Anarchyte 07:10, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The article name only has 1 line as well apparently it has different numbers of lines in different fonts [1]. FWIW it shows up with two lines by default for me. 210.6.254.106 (talk) 12:36, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I've always seen Yen as two lines. The article seems to back that up: This monetary symbol resembles a Latin letter Y with a double stroke. -- Tavix (talk) 15:46, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I am looking at this with my Wii U browser and I see two lines as well.--174.91.187.180 (talk) 03:24, 18 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    Also two lines on my IPad.--174.91.187.180 (talk) 04:56, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Tavix: Hmm, must be me then, here's what I see: http://i.imgur.com/VN8IrCI.png - As you can see on the screenshot, the title has 1 line and in the infobox it has 2 lines. Anarchyte 10:28, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It depends upon the fonts installed on your computer or other device. You get the same thing with the $ and £ signs: most fonts have them with one line, some show two. --Redrose64 (talk) 20:16, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom. As this website explains, "Y with a line" could also refer to the sum of integers represented by the variable "y", and I'm sure there are other plausible definitions as well. -- Notecardforfree (talk) 22:06, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment We all seem to agree that "y with a line" could describe multiple characterse. Should we consider disambiguation, or is this too unlikely a search term? 210.6.254.106 (talk) 05:10, 21 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Dabify as multiple topics have been discussed here. -- 70.51.44.60 (talk) 11:03, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose disambiguation. This isn't a common enough search term to warrant a dab. -- Tavix (talk) 17:00, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Qatar Central Securities DepositoryQatar Exchange  (links · history · stats)     [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]

An A7 G11 article (already speedied once) which is now a redirect to Qatar Exchange which seems akin to redirecting Dow Chemical to Dow Jones. There is a relationship between them, but it's not a defining relationship meriting a redirect. Bazj (talk) 09:51, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment,This article describes and define a governmental establishment, its history, its activities. it's completely independent of qatar exchange.
It's important to define this kind of company specialized in financial domain. Specially for users interested in financial and investment.

Absurdly unlikely search term, and incredibly misleading. I think the number of genera in India not included at the target article is literally uncountable. BDD (talk) 17:04, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete as a default for RfDs with no comments. I agree it's absurd that we would have a list of all genera except for one. Ivanvector 🍁 (talk) 16:39, 25 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as an implausible search term, which is also not at the target. Rubbish computer (Merry Christmas!: ...And a Happy New Year!) 23:20, 25 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

List of click beetles of Maharashtra

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. Deryck C. 00:15, 5 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is not as egregious as the below item, but it's still misleading since the target article doesn't separate the genera by state. And since a majority of the links are red, readers probably won't be able to determine which genera are in Maharashtra. Perhaps the first of these could be seen as {{R with possibilities}}, especially if the list becomes so organized, but the second looks like a pretty unlikely search term for multiple reasons. --BDD (talk) 17:08, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
