M.C. Brown Shoes → Kromagg

The result of the discussion was Deleted by Kevin as CSD R3. -- JLaTondre (talk) 13:33, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unlikely search term. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshellsOtter chirps • HELP) 20:59, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

RING RANG RING RANG A RANG A RING RONG → Roger McGuinn

The result of the discussion was speedy delete per CSD G1, patent nonsense. — TKD::Talk 23:40, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What the heck is this all about? Nonsense me thinks. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshellsOtter chirps • HELP) 20:58, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Kifflom → Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

The result of the discussion was Kept. -- JLaTondre (talk) 14:44, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No longer mentioned in target. Given that it redirected to a "myths" section it was probably in universe and unencyclopedic anyway (which seemed to have been the specialties of the now-blocked user who made this redirect). Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshellsOtter chirps • HELP) 20:56, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep even the quickest of Google searches comes up with this term in relationship to GTA: San Andreas. Redirects are generally helpful and a person may very well search on this term and if so should get GTA:SA fr33kman -s- 03:24, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Benzor → Kmart

The result of the discussion was Delete. Tikiwont (talk) 08:02, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've found no evidence that a "Benzor" was ever connected with Kmart in any way. Nonsense redirect? Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshellsOtter chirps • HELP) 20:47, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • delete agree, no results found in Google other than links back to information from Wikipedia, hoax? fr33kman -s- 03:26, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy Delete Clearly nonsense. Letsdrinktea (talk) 03:43, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - appears to be an editorial comment by the originator of the redirect (see [1] for urbandictionary.com definition). This borders on speedy delete territory. 147.70.242.54 (talk) 15:49, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Heathens For Progress → Neopaganism in the United Kingdom

The result of the discussion was redirect to PEBBLE (pagan organisation) (non admin close) B.Wind (talk) 21:59, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned anywhere on target article. Delete so it becomes a red link in List_of_Neopagan_movements and people will write an article on it Enric Naval (talk) 19:08, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete seems very much like a sneaky attempt at advertising to me. fr33kman -s- 03:38, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to PEBBLE (pagan organisation), a group of which HFP is a member. I'd suggest leaving a request for an article at both WP:Requested articles and the appropriate WikiProjects, noting that the current page is a redirect. 147.70.242.54 (talk) 15:53, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to PEBBLE (pagan organisation), as it is clearly mentioned there. No idea if it's sufficiently notable for its own article. --Rogerb67 (talk) 06:37, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Food channelFood Network

The result of the discussion was Boldly retargeted to The Food Channel, hatnotes added, real no-brainer. Non-admin closure. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshellsOtter chirps • HELP) 20:50, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Typing food channel in the search takes users to the Food Network entry, not the entry for The Food Channel, which is a completely different entry. Request for the redirect to be deleted.Empath01 (talk) 18:32, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've changed the nomination above to reflect the current state of the redirect, rather than the desired state. As for what to do with it, I say retarget per nom and give both The Food Channel and Food Network proper hatnotes for each other. Gavia immer (talk) 19:41, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Black Thursday (2007) → List of Black Thursdays

The result of the discussion was delete. Nabla (talk) 13:17, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Delete: no mention of 2007 on target page, no mention of Black Thursday on previous target page (Dow Jones Industrial Average#History). Black Thursday (2007) had some content for a month in 2007, AfD result was "speedy close after merge and redirect", but if "Black Thursday" was then mentioned in the Dow Jones article it has since been removed. PamD (talk) 15:19, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - per nom fr33kman -s- 03:39, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - no mention of 2007 and no context in which the redirect could make any sense. 147.70.242.54 (talk) 15:55, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - no meaningful content for 2007 at target; no clear alternate target. --Rogerb67 (talk) 06:35, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AWAKWearable artificial kidney

The result of the discussion was Kept. -- JLaTondre (talk) 14:45, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Acronym does not exist. Failed listing as CSD patent nonsense, but acronym was made up. Creator of article/redirect appeared to have a COI with this topic, and referenced a company by the name of AWAK. This seems like advertising. Chaldor (talk) 08:15, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment I removed the speedy due to two references in the artificial kidney artical, namely this and this, which both appear to be from scentific journals and which mention AWAK as an abbreviation for automated wearable artifical kidney. Both of these articals are by the same people and so there may well be a conflict of interest and problems with advertising. That said to me this was easily enough to save it from speedy as it obviously wasn't patent nonsense. I'm neutral on whether the redirect should be kept as I don't know enough about the subject area to know whether the abbreviation is in common use. Dpmuk (talk) 16:02, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as a doctor, I can confirm that such an acronym does indeed exist fr33kman -s- 03:52, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • keep - Two researchers from UCLA [...] have developed a design for an automated, wearable artificial kidney, or AWAK [...] in newsroom.ucla.edu. Nabla (talk) 13:13, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lil BitchLil Wayne

The result of the discussion was speedy delete per CSD G10. — TKD::Talk 06:45, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think this redirect should be deleted. As far as I can tell this isn't an actual nickname or alternative name of the person, and it really seems to be just meant as an insult. Why Not A Duck 01:09, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete as an attack page. Mild, but still there. flaminglawyer 01:26, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
