The result of the discussion was Keep. Userboxes containing uncivil or inflammatory content are explicitly ruled out by the guidelines at Wikipedia:Userboxes#Content restrictions, but what exactly constitutes incivility is a judgment call. In this case the discussion indicates the insult is too mild to trigger the guideline. --RL0919 (talk) 22:46, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

User:Anomie/User NoCommons

Attacks commons users by calling them 'boneheads', violates WP:CIVIL Acather96 (talk) 18:59, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Remove the reference to boneheaded users while keeping the userbox, if user disagrees, delete. — Train2104 (talkcontribs • count) 19:14, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Whatever It's actually a case of WP:SPADE: wikt:bonehead defines it as "someone who is stubborn, thick-skulled, and stupid". I've encountered enough users there in my limited contributions to Commons who are certainly extremely stubborn and have taken actions "exhibiting the quality of having been done by someone lacking in intelligence". I don't have skull measurements for these users, but metaphorically "thick skulled" is a synonym. Note that it doesn't call all (or any quantitative number) of users there "boneheads", nor does it name any specific users. Anomie 19:57, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Harmless I expect that those users can take that sort of mild insult without being offended. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:19, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Seems fine to me. If this offends someone, they need a thicker skin. ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 01:31, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Acceptable userbox that states Anomie's valid opinion about some of the users on Commons, who from what I've read (User:Redvers/Say no to Commons), can be accurately described as "boneheads". Cunard (talk) 01:54, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Everyone has bones in their head. It's a fact and it's really necessary. EdEColbertLet me know 11:44, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, even if no no other reason than that no one has amicably approached Anomie (talk · contribs) to discuss their concerns, or to suggest better wording. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 22:58, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per WP:GERMAN and SmokeyJoe's suggestion that someone seek a dispute resolution with Anomie. :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 19:38, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
