Comment I don't understand if other Caribbean island nations are represented in parent categories like Category:Towers in North America, why delete Category:Towers in Anguilla? It seems like one or two islands are being singled out in these nominations while similar ones are ignored. I know OSE but with categories, we tend to have the same categories for all countries or all countries in a similar region unless there is a good reason not to have them. If lighthouses are a subset of towers, then Category:Lighthouses in Anguilla will still be present in Category:Towers in North America through Category:Lighthouses in North America. I don't think it is mandatory to have an exhaustive list of all countries and dependent territories at the level of every by country or continent category, if there is no content at this level. Au contraire, I find that a lot of these empty shells (or strings thereof) make it cumbersome to navigate, both from the by country category or from the territory itself. BTW I of course don't have any objection to the later re-creation of the category if there is more content, i.e. if articles are written about more towers in Anguilla. Re: one or two islands are being singled out in these nominations while similar ones are ignored, sorry if I didn't manage to make all things perfect at once, knowing that Wikipedia is NOTCOMPULSORY. Actually the 5 groups of categories proposed for discussion here come after 15 others previously discussed. Once you mention it, it's true that there are other empty shells in e.g. Category:Towers in North America or Category:Towers by country, such as Bermuda, Cayman Islands or the BVI, but I had seen other content when I was browsing Transport buildings and structures (such as ports and harbours, bridges, pipelines etc.) so they did not catch my eye at that time. Maybe later. After all, Anguilla is a 15,000-people British overseas territory on about the area of Manhattan, so there are a lot of topics for which there won't be a lot of content. I think that our readers' navigation purposes are better served by making it easy to find actual content where it is, instead of hiding it behind a long Russian doll string of empty categories. Oppose The content of Category:Lighthouses in the Turks and Caicos Islands is 1 list and 2 articles and the content of Category:Airports in the Turks and Caicos Islands is 1 list and 7 articles. Just because other categories were deleted is no reason on its face to delete these categories. There is inherent purpose and value in such categories and that is ease of navigation for the WP user. Simply deleting things is not the answer. The intermediate categories are not now empty and would only become empty if these two categories are first deleted. It was moved further to Collage (American duo) upon acceptance of Collage (Taiwanese duo) just a week or so ago. "Collage (singer)" is at best a partial or ambigious qualifier, given that there are more than two performing groups and a DJ by the same name (as listed at Collage (disambiguation)#Performers), or at worse, an incorrect one. Note: the category creator has been adding and removing lots of things from the nominated cats after they were nominated, but the result is that e.g. the library of Clermont-Ferrand is now part of the Culture of the Alps apparently, as Category:Culture of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes has "Alpes" in the name and so was added... Support. This comes from the same user which populated Arctic categories with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan or Mongolia so I am not really surprised. Enthusiasm is good, but a little bit of restraint is good too sometimes. Articles specific to Alpine topics as a whole should of course be kept in Category:Alps, but articles and categories relative to individual geographies touching the Alps such as Bavaria, Provence and Piedmont don't need to be grouped together.
