- Keep - seems to be a notable concept in anime by the amount of coverage in reliable sources, just in English. I have no idea about Japanese sources but would imagine there are many more. Which sources in particular are fishy? --BelovedFreak 23:47, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Strong Keep. Another one? Tenlb, AfD is not about sourcing smelling 'fishy' (you have the energy to start an AfD, but not to list any examples?): it is about notability. Between Google Books & Google, I think we're good here. --Gwern (contribs) 00:13 4 March 2010 (GMT)
- The sources that exist in the article as of now clearly show multiple reliable sources talking about both the word itself and its cultural associations, making this a clearly notable concept = keep. If the nominator has specific issues with sourcing statements, that's an editorial issue, not something for AfD. (Yandere and other -dere terms have not yet really caught on Japan outside a certain subculture, let alone in English, and so are more dubious.) —Quasirandom (talk) 00:42, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Strong keep. Term is in "mainstream" usage, article already has one book source (which can be expanded on), plus two reliable web cites. Explain to me how the sources are 'fishy'. Yes the page needs cleanup, but this isn't an afd issue.Dandy Sephy (talk) 04:48, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- I have performed some cleanup and added 2 more references. Also yandere as mentioned, doesn't have as much coverage or usage. A shame as I cleaned it up nicely. Dandy Sephy (talk) 05:19, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Transwiki the defintion to Wiktionary it's mostly a defintion, with a couple of paragraphs tacked onto the definition. 70.29.210.242 (talk) 06:38, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Strong Keep as comparisons to Yandere are not effective. Tsundere is in much more common usage than is Yandere. And, as others have pointed out, this word/concept clearly shows notability with the references already in the article. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe 07:40, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep for the sake of comparison Anime News Network reviews using Tsundere and for Yandere. The same test with Mania.com, Tsundere here and Yandere here. Tsundere is way more mainstream than Yandere. Another point is Tsundere term used inside anime episodes to play on the archetype it created. See Hitagi Senjōgahara in Bakemonogatari for example. --KrebMarkt 08:17, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Lucky Star comes to mind as an anime breaking the fourth wall to specifically discuss 'tsundere'; and Melancholy materials, IIRC, have included 'tsundere meters'. --Gwern (contribs) 16:03 4 March 2010 (GMT)
- Keep - more sources have been added discussing the term since the notability tag was placed. --Malkinann (talk) 18:59, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
