Redundant to the category tree and NOT failing and everything; but even more importantly, there is simply no precedent for this kind of list by sub-national division. Doing so would simply be encouraging the proliferation of similar useless lists which would only include a few entries and would definitively be a WP:BADIDEA. - Comment Wales is a nation. To suggest it is less than a nation, just because it is also part of the United Kingdom is to misunderstand Wales. Wales is as much a nation as the other three UK members: England, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. CT55555 (talk) 17:41, 21 May 2022 (UTC)
- Keep for the same reasons outlined at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Hungarian Nobel laureates, an extraordinarily similar bulk deletion discussion.--Paul McDonald (talk) 02:04, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
- Keep per the sources identifying geography and nationality as it relates to Nobel laureates as a notable group or set, as well as the guidelines and rationale offered in support of keeping the articles listed in the bundled nomination at the List of Hungarian Nobel laureates Afd. Beccaynr (talk) 04:38, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
- Keep (I commented above already). I agree with the other keep arguments above. CT55555 (talk) 05:56, 23 May 2022 (UTC)

Redundant to the category tree
contradicts WP:NOTDUP (a guideline), and it seems like a perfectly encyclopedic topic to me. The constituent countries of the UK have strong regional identities and it's entirely possible for a Welsh person to feel Welsh but not British, or more Welsh than British. If inappropriate lists of people by sub-national division are created then they can simply be deleted. Hut 8.5 11:47, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
