Sat Shri Akal ji🙏🏻 Apne Chandigarh shehr di khabr ne

Manimajra was renamed as sector 13 legally by UT government of Chandigarh in January 2020 and by February 2020 the new name was finally declared to be written everywhere on papers. Below are links to the decision:- 1). https://m.timesofindia.com/city/chandigarh/manimajra-to-be-renamed-sector-13-residents-elated/amp_articleshow/73114749.cms .

2). https://www.hindustantimes.com/chandigarh/chandigarh-s-manimajra-is-now-sector-13/story-ploFPCA4UGpDu9ksUxLtdL.html

Being a Indian resident, i would like to contribute to this new law which was passed by our government .

It is true that the proposal had been initially opposed in december 2019. In the initial proposal, names like Sector M or Sector 26 east were proposed. Here is the link for initial proposals made :-

3)https://m.hindustantimes.com/chandigarh/manimajra-rwa-wants-number-not-m-after-sector/story-Q7ZPsdh5y120cEqlVAKuhP_amp.html

4)https://www.dnaindia.com/india/report-chandigarh-to-finally-get-sector-13-after-54-years-of-formation-2813378

(these articles were published in newspapers in 2019 which is old).

5)https://m.tribuneindia.com/news/archive/chandigarh/mani-majra-to-be-sector-m-863728 (This link i provided over here was published in Tribune India in November 2019 )

But soon the final decision was made which overruled the previous proposals and finally the new name for manimajra was concluded as sector 13 by the beginning of 2020. The next link (6th Link) was also published in Tribune India with the final decision which was declared in February 2020 :-

6)https://m.tribuneindia.com/news/chandigarh/its-official-mani-majra-is-sector-13-of-chandigarh-39042

Please help me by putting your vote in the panel discussion on the talk page section of Sector 13.

Here is an example on how to put your vote ___________.

  • Support
  • Strong Support
  • Agreed

Click on the edit tab and please copy any 1 vote you want to put from the above or you can put you vote by putting a * star symbol followed by 3 apostrophe marks ' ' ' and then writing your word for vote like support, agreed etc and finally closing it with again 3 apostrophe marks ' ' ' in the end.

Welcome!

@TomCat4680: Dear Sir, I have also added some references in English and have to add in Hindi because there are mostly hindi language sites in India. Because most of the articles are printed here in Hindi. But Overall I have searched about this actor He is noted actor in india. Thnks Sir Virenderthind2019 (talk) 11:35, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article The Game of Votes has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails to meet WP:NBOOK. There is just one good source among the 11 in the article...

  • the book's publisher - not independent
  • Amazon.com - it's a retail opportunity, not independent
  • Google Books - firstly it does nothing to show notability, they list everything, and secondly it's already accessible through the ISBN links in the infobox
  • Curious Reader - WP:UGC with a retail link
  • Indiatimes.com - once I'd archived it (they don't like Europeans reading their stuff it seems - GDPR) it was just a rehash of the dust jacket blurb - it's pretty damning if the reviewer hasn't got past the dust jacket and the foreword.
  • ptinews.com is a good source, so good that outlookindia.com, and deccanherald.com copied it word-for-word. That's one source, not three.
  • sentinelassam.com quotes the author and provides less than 50 words of their own. That's not an in depth review, or anything approaching it.
  • A twitter post by the author's friend - WP:UGC.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at User talk:Pigsonthewing, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Cabayi (talk) 15:04, 15 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Cabayi: Hllo sir, Help me to improve this article. How can we improve?

( Virenderthind2019 (talk) 15:42, 15 October 2019 (UTC) )[reply]

Add a reliable, verifiable, independent source which isn't trivial, nor an advert, and which is significant. There's one already, just one more will satisfy the requirements of WP:NBOOK.
You don't need brackets around your signature. The template explaining signatures is a bit misleading there. Hope that helps, Cabayi (talk) 15:49, 15 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Virenderthind2019. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Virenderthind2019. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Virenderthind2019|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Jklamo (talk) 16:35, 15 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Jklamo: Dear Sir,I have Interested to edit or create page on wikipedia. I feels good to do it. That is at all, there is nothing like paid. And I am new on wikipedia, that is why i am asking for help from seniors wiki editor.

@Cabayi: Sir, i have added some references to article.please take a look. And please explain me how to know that which source is reliable, verifiable, independent or not.

None of them meet any of the requirements for reliable, verifiable, independent sources.

  • literatefrog.co.in immediately takes me to a different story, "Indian Air Force appoints Air Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria"
  • mynation.com is yet another reprint of the PTI article
  • bokus.com is yet another book sales site
  • idiscover.lib.cam.ac.uk is another listing which says nothing about the book - they list every book without any critical judgement

A tag has been placed on Jobanpreet Singh requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Request reason:

Firstly, I want to say that I have cleared many times that I did mistakes in starting because i didn't know terms&conditions. Second thing, I haven't received any payment from anyone and there is nothing like Undisclosed paid editing. Most important thing is I dont know who is Shamimanm. If I created articles in film and theatre area then It means I sockpuppet of Shamimanm??? If my Surname is Thind then I have connection with Hira Thind??? If I created Alok Pandey and Added a link to Shahjahanpur because He belongs to Shahjahanpur..then I am Sockpuppet of Shamimanm???? Wow, GSS tried many times to find excuses but he failed everytime..but this time he find an other excuse that I have similar Surname to Hira Thind. I simply want to say I haven't any Connection to Shamimanm or Hira Thind. I create articles in my free time and I am not involved in Undisclosed paid editing. If my style of editing looks promotional, I will take care from here. I always try to create notable articles. I request you to unblock me.All the allegations against me are baseless. Thank YouVirenderthind2019 (talk) 11:03 pm, 19 July 2020, Sunday (28 days ago) (UTC−4)

Decline reason:

Decline based on the SPI and the total volume of deleted articles in your history. The fact that you're creating so many articles that do not meet our notability standards shows that you don't understand them and show that there is too much suspicion about undisclosed paid editing for me to comfortably unblock. only (talk) 19:52, 16 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
