A barnstar for you!

Thank you. The main problem with Arab world subjects on Wikipedia is the relatively short amount of editors who are interested and committed to improving this massive topic area with a neutral point of view, reliable sources and decent English skills. My focus is usually with Palestine and Syria, but I try to branch out to other Arab countries, including Iraq, as well. I will try to work some more on Iraqi-related articles in the near future. Rollback

Hi Hashima20. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Beeblebrox (talk) 16:29, 20 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Al-Talaba SC, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages AFC and Ahmad Salah. List of Al-Talaba SC season

You're welcome. I've looked at all the articles you have created/recreated and they are all great, keep up the good work. A very good website for looking at past Iraqi football seasons is: http://niiiis.com/iraqileague.html. This was the site I used to add on the missing information in your article. It has information about past Iraqi Leagues, Iraq FA Cups, Umm Al-Ma'arak Cups and Al-Muthabara Cups, but also information on some lesser cups like the Al-Quds Championship, Al-Rasheed Cup and Al-Intisar Cup.

On that site there is also tons of information about our clubs in international competitions as well as the history of the Iraq national team etc etc. It's a very good website in general. Hashim-afc (talk) 16:22, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

List of Iraqi football champions

Hi Hashima20. Thanks a lot for creating this page. However, I'm wondering do you think we should include the League of the Institutes of Baghdad on this page? I know that this competition was only for Baghdad teams, and there were other leagues at the time that were available to teams from other cities. However, even though it was only available for Baghdad teams, the Iraqi FA still considered it as the national championship and the Iraqi FA were the ones who controlled the league, whereas the other leagues at the time weren't controlled by the Iraqi FA. Furthermore, the fact that Aliyat Al-Shorta qualified for the 1971 Asian Champion Club Tournament because they were the champions of the League of the Institutes of Baghdad shows that this was considered as the national championship even though it wasn't available to all Iraqi teams. So do you think that we should include it on the List of Iraqi football champions page? Thanks, Hashim-afc (talk) 12:34, 16 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Iraqi Prime Minister list/election

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Iraqi Prime Minister list/election requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. – i'm FxdhMxdh (talk) 20:59, 6 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

New deal for page patrollers

Hi Hashima20,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Could u state any reason why have u removed portions of the article about 2019 Iraqi protests? Me and other users had to bring them back. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.21.107.146 (talk) 04:12, 5 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

-Muqtada Al-Sadr is not a representative or a spokesman of the protestors. He merely supported them with calls for reforms and early elections so, he shouldn't be mentioned in the "leaders" section. The description which was written in the "Prelude" section is not relevant for the subject of the protests and even if it was, it should be mentioned in the "Background" section, not the "Prelude." Thank you. Hashima20 (talk) 07:36, 5 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"Prelude" was just a strange title. But maybe it really is better now in the "Background" section. But it IS relevant definitely. Reuters is a good source. About the guy i dunno. He was restored by some else user. 83.21.107.146 (talk) 08:08, 5 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Iran-Iraq Shatt al-Arab Boundries.jpg

A tag has been placed on File:Iran-Iraq Shatt al-Arab Boundries.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Non-free rationale for File:Asa'ib Ahl Al-Haq flag.png

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Asa'ib Ahl Al-Haq flag.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page.
