Hi, always good to meet another editor interested in the subjects one writes about. I try not to fall victim to Wikipedia:Own but I do retain an interest in articles I’ve taken to FA. My issues:

• Edit summaries - your most recent edit summary said only “additional visitors” but you actually added and removed material unrelated to visitors to the castle. Particularly, you included Mountbatten as a major driver for the fundraising (see below);
• Adding material not supported by the sources - you added Mountbatten, but the cited source doesn’t support this. If you have a source that says Mountbatten played a leading role that’s fine, but the existing source doesn’t;
• Removing material supported by the sources - you took out material around Hoare that is supported by the sources, his act clearly was one of generosity, and the sources describe it as such;
• Sources not supporting the content - you added the Clarke which didn’t, as far as I could see, support the content;
• Citation style - the convention is to follow the existing style. In this article, it is sfn. The RCAHMW report didn’t need a full link as its already cited. The Clarke, which I agree could be a useful source, should go in the Sources.
• Use of cliche - e.g. “high profile royal visitors”;
• Reliable sources - A Princess Diana blog is not an RS that would be accepted in an FAC.

• My bad on the inaccurate edit summary - I had started doing one section and got carried away with the other (unrelated) edits.
• Likewise on citation style - I was not familiar with sfn style, and was just using the default add citation functionality in the editor.
• I will add some of my previous edits back in, piecemeal, with accurate summaries and where appropriate, supported by specific citations. I hope you won't interpret this as an edit war!
• For the other comments where I am less sure on the best path forward, I'll start a discussion on the article's talk page when I get to them, and mention you - and hopefully we can come to a good consensus there.
