Hi, Dorkinglad! In File:Prežihov Voranc.JPG, the information regarding the author and the license have been removed as they're not the right ones. For the date, you have to give the date/year/decade when the image was made or leave it blank. For the author, you have to give the name of the actual photographer that made the photo (unless the copyright has been transfered to someone else). It was not the literary association per se. When did the photographer die? These are the information that you have to consider in deciding whether the pd-old license is the correct one. I recommend you reading WP:IUP. Sorry for being a nuisance, but image copyrights are something that we're trying to take seriously in Wikipedia. The template pd-old does not apply for the image, as it must have passed more than 70 years from the author's death for it to be applicable. Hi Greg. It's a featured article, so edits that may be OK in other articles have to meet higher standards here. The referencing problem with your link was that it didn't actually say what you put, that it is a Scottish and N England name. The RSPB is normally acceptable, but this reply to a question is really on the same level as a blog, ie not normally acceptable in an FA.

I suggest you use the template <ref name = >{{cite web| author = | title= | work= | url= | publisher=| accessdate = }}</ref>. The only mandatory fields are the title, url, publisher and access date. You don't have to do this, but it saves me or other editors a job and avoids your unintentional formatting error which made the rest of the article invisible.

You don't have to use templates, I use them because it's harder to make mistakes and they ensure consistency. As long as the ref looks the same as the others in the article, that's fine. Hello Madam The picture Of Gould has been available on Wikipedia for six years and I have little recollection of uploading it. The source is verifiable though as it came from a now defunct magazine called 'Book Collector'. It's from 1996. Gould died sixty eight years ago . In truth it's not a very good photograph and the background colour clearly bothers some people. Yes, six years is a long time; image stuff is complicated, and I'm still learning. The 70-year mark refers to the date of death of the copyright holder (probably the photographer in this case), not the subject. I don't know the copyright status of those other photos and this one is already uploaded, so I changed the licensing to fair use and added a rationale; however, I can't remove the FFD tag until the discussion is closed and can't close my own discussion :-). Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you.

• it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the claimed facts. Mistle thrush is a featured article and therefore all substantive additions must be referenced
• Other than a shared name, there was no explanation of why the album, however notable, is relevant to a bird article. Hardy's poem was included because it describes the bird's song, but it has long been the case that additions on the basis of just a name are not enough. Florence Nightingale is notable, but she isn't mentioned in the nightingale article
• and is still available in 2017 appears to be a sales pitch.

Hello, There is a mention from her daughter on You Tube as to the fact she had passed but I realise that that is hearsay. I actually looked up her name on the Social Security records that are available on-line. Florain Weaver (her final married name) came up with a relative called Charlotte Lanee Taylor at the same address in LA. This corresponded with the name on the You Tube video. Ms Taylor gave her mother's passing as 6/12/2017 - assume that is 12th June. I double check using the name Florain Taylor and came up with Florain Corella Taylor and again Charlotte Lanee listed.

I confirmed that Johnny Taylor (not The JT) was her manager back in the day (and co-wrote her single on Kent) from the article in Soul Survivor magazine. She had also recorded first for Groovy label in 1966 (picked up by Cadet) as Florain Taylor. This being a very unusual Christian nomenclature I was able to find her under her various guises in Beaumont nr LA. She was also Brown and Andrews at one time.

You can also look up the BMI writing credits for song writers (as I'm sure you are aware). Her Kent single 'I can feel your love' was written by Jerry Flanagan & Johnny Taylor. Jerry Flanagan wrote The Sweets sides on Valiant label. The Sweets were Felice (Florain), her sisters Darlene (lead) & Norma. It's on You Tube and another brother Charles Flanagan has made an entry stating that they were his sisters and Jerry ws his brother. Unless Charles and Jerry were half brothers with different names it makes Felice's birth name Florain Corella Flanagan. However I did find one Social security record where the birth dates tallied for Florain Corella Taylor Taylor so it could be that a her first marriage was to someone with the same surname. I do hope you are following this. Anyway I didn't choose to put that in the article but referred to you as the originator of the article). I didn't think I had a definitive answer apart from her name being Florain (not Florian) so I highlighted to yourself.

I knew that the spelling for Florain had been transcribed incorrectly but as you know changing such errors takes time to gather evidence. I have a subscription to Ancestry.com - it shows me that Florine [sic] Corella Flanagan was born on 29 January 1944 [sic] in Contra Costa County, California. I don't have a date for her marriage to Walter Lee Andrews. Here she is. And here. But is that enough confirmation for the article? I don't think we're quite there yet. Indeed you Gotcha' me! It seems you've splendidly reaffirmed the research I did this week. The Soul Survivor magazine article published in Autumn 1985 doesn't mention the Groovy / Cadet single but likely the journalist/article writer didn't have that information. I've asked the Soul Source site if anyone can confirm that Florain /Felice Taylor are one & the same.The Cadet 45 is on the internet at You Tube and aurally the singer sounds the same as the Felice Taylor releases. The flip side to Felice's 'I Can Feel Love Comin' is called 'Captured By Your Love' on President UK. It's written by Johnny Taylor and Jerry Flanagan (husband 7 brother of Florine/Florain). Would you say that was enough to show the link? Interesting that my early hunch that she was older than stated was true. This happens often in the 60s. She was only 16 when she married Taylor. Thank you for your message. I've downloaded the latest issue of "All About Horsham" with the cited article. My concern is that the free magazine clearly does not meet wikipedia's criteria for a "reliable source" see Wikipedia:Reliable sources. The author, Robina Arbuthnott may be a keen local historian, but she isn't a well established professional historian.

Sometimes, such articles can give a hint as to where to look for more information in a solid source. For example, Arbuthnott wrote: "he grew and named several orchids with the name Godmanii, winning many awards from the RHS and the Orchid Society."

I looked for records of Godman winning awards. The Orchid Society here was founded in 1951 but the RHS had an Orchid Committee long before that.

Godman is often mentioned in the Journal of the Royal Horticultural Society. Scans are available on the Biodiversitiy Heritage Library site. This is only a selection - his name often appears:

Godman won awards for different plant varieties - not just orchids - and had two different head gardeners. I confess that I don't know how to cite the above. Perhaps 3 pages from Volume 38 when he was very active.

I thought Robina Arbuthnott's article to be of interest. However the only part I chose to add was on the plant collection as most of the rest does not contain scholarly references. There is an obituary published by RHS for Godman. A man with the wealth to indulge his many passions. A fascinating man.

Hi. There are inconsistencies between the new infobox and the article text - and with other information. What are your sources? I know it's not "reliable", but this source seems to suggest that her first name was Tina (of course, that could be a nickname), and - more importantly - that she was still alive around 2016/17. Her birthplace also differs between the text and infobox. I'm searching through the 1940 US Census to see if I can find possible candidates but haven't come up with anything yet. Quite what the editors concerned with that move think you did wrong is beyond me. I never had this trouble when I redirected pages in the past. However, I'm replying to your message on the Mzilikazi page, although I no longer edit under that name. After I originally created the article on the Étaples colony I left to help edit an art encyclopedia on the other side of the world and had only limited online access outside office hours for most of a couple of years. Unable to reply to the negative criticism at the time, I lost heart and never returned to it.

I'd be inclined to tell you to go ahead with sorting the article out but have a few doubts about your knowledge of the subject. Your reasoning on whether there was a real colony in the town suggests massive ignorance. At that period there were colonies all along or just inland from the sea coast from Worpsewede in Germany, across the Netherlands and Belgium and then down to Brittany, of greater or lesser significance. In the case of most, their importance and documentation has been largely a matter of hindsight, but there are major books that cover Étaples and its artists and speak of it as a colony (or rather, a nest of colonies). Two factors rather fog the picture: one is that the significance of many of the North American and Oz/NZ artists, being expats, was not realised until later in their own countries. Their advanced styles relate to what was happening in Paris (only 3 hours away from them by train) and these trends often didn't have a name. The term Post-Impressionist (to which their style relates) was not even coined until 1910 when Roger Fry was casting about for the title of an exhibition he organised in Britain. So if you want to take the subject on, you'll need to have an interest in cultural development across frontiers and an appreciation of the fluidity of artistic styles. It was those phenomena that attracted me to the subject of the article at the start; I rather suspect that it is the way they challenge simplistic color-supplement notions that brought down criticism in the first place! hello, Sorry it's taken me awhile but personal circumstances have been fraught. An excellent article and I can see no obvious errors. Well done. It's remarkable how Emily Davison's reputation in Epsom has changed in one hundred years. I would add some information on Epsom Public Houses and under notable buildings mention the Amato Inn, one of the oldest pubs in Surrey approaching 350 years. There is a legend attached to the Pub which can be read about in the wiki article Amato (horse). Epsom's racing heritage was more obvious when I was a child with several pubs named after Derby winners (The Ladas and Eclipse, both buildings stand but not as pubs I recall). The naming of the roads of the Longmead Estate built in the 60s and 70s used Derby and Oaks winners. Few people realise this now.
