JerzyA and their old buddy, Jerzy

"You grow old, colleague JerzyA"
(nearly) as it was put, by a great writer who's, incidentally, known for his late-in-life migraines (similar to mine -- tho mine breathed their last in my 20s).

Relatively few, however, have given attention to his professional career, involving writing conscientiously on geometry-pedagogy and including critiquing then-contemporaneus, but fallacious, textbook proofs of Euclidian theorems —- which I either browsed, in the nearest surviving bookstore, or was moved enough by, that I borrowed a library’s copy.
And likewise, most most of his fiction fans are disinclined to notice the mathematical and formal logic concepts with which he dotted his published fiction and light-verse works.
No, he is more remembered as a novelist and poet —- for his fantasy, and the professional-grade logic, jokes, and riddles with which decorated his catchy light verse and his famed novels, inspired a probably [[Dante/Beatrice-like creative mode that nevertheless dots his treasured, landmark fantasy fiction, with ‘’his’’ ... ahh ... ambiguous sexual-ethics relationship to his muse.

Jerzy was not too far from being an O.W.('pedian); he had stumbled in and eventually registered by the 21st official month after the official inception-- First, prolly, on assignment from a Killer Bat who wanted an offensive counterpoint or counterpart to Athena's Aegis (the eponym of a modern defensive weapon system). (Alas, the ancients mention a spear, but seem to have graced it sine cognomen nec praenomen.)
We wanted a better list of mountains worth climbing, producing what was most likely my second awareness of the site, and found a basis for curiosity about the beast: a pretty diligent list of the mountains around our new home-away, beyond Mount Washington, and clearly well obsessed with these, our beloved friends ... and, hey!, alleged Places of Power. So, clearly we had stumbled onto something distinctly ... amusing, if not all that interesting: a wiccan reference book, and one esoteric, or proud, or squirrelly, enuf to spell the word "wik..." rather than "wicca..."; well, good-ho for them.
As modern epistemology notes, nice theories are likely to be wrong, offering openings to nicer ones. That may have eventuated on an evening when we tried to reason out the logic of "posh", beyond the vague onomatopoeia of "fluff" and "fwoosh", and mebbe "flushed ..." (as with pride and other forms of satisfaction..) .. were these athletic wiccans more aesthetic and less ascetic?? Well, I'll just say my new new wiki-ology was significantly more motivating. And i'm of those who like structure, and research, and extended analysis ....
Well, it suits me, and, when I prefer, lets me be. Pro'lly enuf ancient history, at least for now.
I realized, as Jerzy, the admin, that my mental status is changing (maybe quicker than many would, as I got paid to get and use some disciplines most of us don't have occasion for), and took the initiative in shedding the admins' freedom

Hmm. --JerzyA (talk) 12:45, 8 April 2019 (UTC)
Anyway, I'll clean this up later (by cut&paste: I recall nothing about whether I should expect to be able to move this page to my talk page, and then replace the resulting Rdr by something more formal, even if no more attractive. Bah, humbug!
