Template documentation

This is the WikiProject banner template used by WikiProject Moldova to keep track of articles within its scope. All articles are categorised into Category:Moldova articles.

Basic usage

Place this on the talk page of relevant articles:

Full usage

It is usual to remove any unused parameters from the template call.

Parameters

category – set |category=no if, and only if, a banner is being used for demonstration or testing purposes, to prevent unnecessary or undesirable categorization. Otherwise, omit this parameter.
listas – this parameter, which is the equivalent of the DEFAULTSORT sortkey that should be placed on all biographical articles, is a sortkey for the article talk page (e.g. for John Smith, use |listas=Smith, John so that the talk page will show up in the Smith's and not the John's of the various assessment and administrative categories. Similarly, for topics with titles beginning with an article such as "the" or "a" - e.g. for The Matrix, use |listas=Matrix, The so that the talk page will show up in the Matrix's. This is important because it is one source used by those who set DEFAULTSORT on the article; consider also setting the DEFAULTSORT for the article when setting this parameter. For more information about this, please see Wikipedia:Categorization of people#Ordering names in a category. It is not required if another WikiProject template on the same page has its own {{para|listas}} set, since it affects the sortkey of all banners and templates.
class – see #Quality assessment below.
importance – see #Importance assessment below.

Notes and alerts

attention – set |attention=yes if the article needs immediate attention from experienced editors. Use only if another parameter does not cover the need for attention; this should be used sparingly. It is strongly encouraged to also add a section to the talk page explaining what needs attention. This parameter populates Category:Moldova articles needing attention.
imageneeded – to request that an image or photograph be added to the page.
imagedetails – additional text to insert before the words "be added to this article" to describe the subject or type of image that is requested.

Task forces

Chisinau – set |Chisinau=yes if the article is supported by the Chișinău task force. This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Chișinău articles by quality based on the |class= parameter.

Classification of redirects and disambiguation pages

If the |class= parameter is not defined and the WikiProject banner is placed on the talk page of a redirect (in any namespace) or disambigation page then it will automatically be classified as follows:

Redirects will automatically be classified as NA-class and placed in Category:NA-Class Moldova articles.
Disambiguation pages will automatically be classified as NA-class and placed in Category:NA-Class Moldova articles.

In addition, if |class= is empty, undefined or unrecognized, then the class will be deduced from the namespace of the page when possible.
