Talk:Hardcourt Bike Polo

I want to suggest that this page gets folded in to the main Bike polo page at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cycle_polo

That page could be a lot longer and already features an "urban" photo on the top right.

"Hardcourt" and "urban" seem to be the main ways of differentiating from the "official" version but both seem to have some implicit posturing in them, and the only time people use the term is on the internet. "official" is no longer appropriate, as the "urban" version gets more and more standardized. So i'm proposing that sometime in summer 2008 we fold these pages together. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kjmcw (talk • contribs) 19:32, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

They are two distinct sports with very different styles of play. If you are having trouble with names try "Grass Bike Polo," and "Hardcourt Bike Polo." They should not be combined. It would be like folding softball in with baseball. 129.81.132.202 (talk) 21:59, 25 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Might add some discussion about bicycle customization. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.84.164.250 (talk) 23:12, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure where to add this-- but Walter Cronkite apparently played hardcourt polo as a child, putting this date much further back that 2000 NACCC: see: http://www.bikingbis.com/blog/_archives/2009/7/17/4258654.html From his autobiography: "The usual boyhood/early teen activities, ... and bicycle polo (except on those hot summer days when our wheels sunk in the goo of Houston's Tarvia streets)." Anyone want to work to add that in? Mcas (talk) 01:00, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
