Mehranrud Rural District (Persian: دهستان مهران‌رود) is in the Central District of Tabriz County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.[2] Its capital is the village of Heravi.[3]

In August 2021, the rural district was created in the Central District, and Meydan Chay Rural District and the city of Basmenj were separated from it the establishment of Basmenj District.[2] Opposition to its inclusion in Basmenj led to the retention of the rural district within the Central District.[4]
