Varzaqan County (Persian: شهرستان ورزقان), formerly Arsbaran County (‌شهرستان ارسباران),[3] is in East Azerbaijan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Varzaqan.[4]

At the 2006 census, the county's population was 46,833 in 10,766 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 45,708 people in 12,228 households.[6] At the 2016 census, the county's population was 52,650 in 16,273 households.[2]
