Hamzehabad (Persian: حمزه آباد), also Romanized as Ḩamzehābād,[3] is a village in, and the former capital of, Mangur-e Sharqi Rural District of Khalifan District of Mahabad County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4] The capital of the rural district was transferred to Abdollah Kordeh.[5]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 495 in 84 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 477 people in 98 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 469 people in 128 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
