Chehel Hesar (Persian: چهل حصار, also Romanized as Chehel Ḩeşār)[3] is a village in Zorqabad Rural District of Zorqabad District, Esfarayen County, North Khorasan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,396 in 321 households, when it was in the Central District.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 1,374 people in 382 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,143 people in 344 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]

In February 2023, Daman Kuh Rural District and Zorqabad Rural District were separated from the district in the establishment of Zorqabad District.[6]
