Qazi (Persian: قاضي; also known as Gazī and Ghāẕī)^[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Samalqan District of Samalqan County, North Khorasan province, Iran.^[4] It also serves as the administrative center for Qazi Rural District (formerly Samalqan Rural District).^[5]

At the 2006 census, its population was 2,370 in 674 households.^[6] The following census in 2011 counted 2,956 people in 792 households.^[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,428 people in 817 households.^[2]
