Arnan (Persian: ارنان, romanizedArnān)[3] is a village in Chahardangeh-ye Jonubi Rural District of Chahardangeh District, Hurand County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 774 in 169 households, when it was in Chahardangeh Rural District of the former Hurand District of Ahar County.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 693 people in 180 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 687 people in 200 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]

After the 2016 census, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Hurand County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Hurand as its capital and only city.[6]
