Proposed new article: Kinder Joy

Hi all, I've recently drafted a proposed new article that may be of interest to this WikiProject: Kinder Joy and am wondering if any editors from here would be able to help review this at WP:AfC?

As a quick disclosure, I do have a financial conflict of interest, as I've written the draft article on behalf of Ferrero SpA and am working as a paid consultant to the company via communications agency, Glover Park Group, as part of my work at an agency, Beutler Ink.

If anyone is able to review the draft and provide feedback, that would be great and much appreciated! Thanks, 16912 Rhiannon (Talk · COI) 22:40, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

Done Quick update to note that this article is now live after review at AfC. Thanks, 16912 Rhiannon (Talk · COI) 13:15, 7 January 2016 (UTC)

Choc ice

Should the article Choc ice include its alleged/occasional use as an ethnic slur? This editor thinks that it should not. I have no strong view at all, other than that I am always a bit concerned about the unexplained removal of referenced content, which is where this started. I can see arguments for and against its inclusion. I'm posting to both Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Discrimination and Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Food and drink about this. The editor concerned is now discussing it at Talk:Choc ice#Racism and it would be great if interested editors from these projects, or anywhere else, wanted to help reach a consensus. Thanks and best wishes 213.205.251.29 (talk) 08:29, 15 December 2015 (UTC)

Is this the kind of editing you are looking for?

Hello, I recently made an edit to the carry over cooking article, and I was wondering if anyone would be willing to take a look at it and tell me if that kind of editing is helpful to the project. I'd love to start tackling some of the stub articles and see if I can add information or improve them, but I don't want to be too bold and screw things up. Thank you! Help with Ferrero SpA Products section

Hello again everyone. As I've noted previously on this page, I've been working for Ferrero SpA via Glover Park Group, and I'm currently looking for help to update and clean up the Products section in the Ferrero article. The current section is incomplete and it includes a great amount of promotional detail about a few of the company's products. I hope someone watching this page can spare a few minutes to take a look at my suggestion for improving the section. My full request is on the article Talk page here. Thanks, 16912 Rhiannon (Talk · COI) 21:01, 6 January 2016 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Ma Cameron's

The article Ma Cameron's has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability provided.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Food Fermentation

Hi, I recently joined Wiki and your project with the ambition to contribute my knowledge about food fermentation science and technology. I would like to produce a coherent set of pages (building on existing and expanding where needed) that can be used as a manual for beginners as well as advanced students. (compare to the "missing manual" in the help section). My questions: am I at the right place here to find collaborators? I am looking for an experienced Wikipedian who can help me getting started. Thanks for your response! Wagfermwp (talk) 11:17, 3 February 2016 (UTC)

Wagfermwp Welcome to Wikipedia!
This is one place to ask for collaborators. There are others. Part of the nature of Wikipedia is that any project is likely to have lots of collaborators. Perhaps some people will care about one sentence, but not the rest of the article. It is hard to predict a response.
It is a standing problem in Wikipedia to teach new users how to identify good collaborators. Other options include other WikiProjects, like perhaps WikiProject Medicine for food safety issues. You could look at the "history" of an article that interests you and contact its past contributors to ask them to comment on new contributions that you make to the article.
You might consider doing quid pro quo with other users. When you want feedback, sometimes it is helpful to give others feedback. I checked a review board and found this food-related concern, for example – Wikipedia:Good article reassessment#Aztec cuisine.
I happen to know that Wikipedia readers love food related information, but Wikipedia contributors have trouble managing its quality. See here – Wikipedia:Featured articles#Food and drink. There are few very good food-related articles.
It is hard to find mentors here but many people here, including me, who will answer particular questions anytime you ask. You can also ask questions at forums like Wikipedia:Teahouse.
Thanks for coming to Wikipedia and thanks for posting on this WikiProject page. I hope you find it useful. I definitely appreciate having contributions from someone with knowledge about food production. Blue Rasberry (talk) 15:54, 3 February 2016 (UTC)

About some proposals on WT:VA/E

I've proposed to add pan frying, stir frying, deep frying, Turkish cuisine, Korean cuisine, food processing, food additives, food safety, fried chicken, fried fish, roast chicken, toast, baguette, croissant and doughnut to WP:VA/E, however there have been no votes for at least 15 days. If no one participates these proposals will be closed as no consensus, which is a pity, so members of this WikiProject please participate in the voting of them.--RekishiEJ (talk) 13:53, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
