Danish orthography

(discussion linked from WP:LANG and WP:WPW) Can there be an article created on Danish orthography? Specifically, one that links orthography and pronunciation. Danish and Norwegian alphabet contains no information, and there used to be a good table at Danish phonology#Orthography, but for some reason it's been cut down to be fairly useless (e.g. saying that y can be pronounced as /y/, /yː/ or /ø/... when can it be pronounced like each of those?). I'm surprised that for a language with such an unintuitive writing system that this information isn't on Wikipedia (compare, for instance, the highly detailed article at Irish orthography for another language with complicated orthography). 86.28.121.200 (talk) 14:41, 9 June 2011 (UTC)

Roskilde Cathedral article rewrite/rewamp

I've just rewritten the history section of Roskilde Cathedral, and would appreciate a bit of input. The most recent history (ie. post-reformation) is a bit sketchy, but it was the best I could do with the sources I had available.

The language itself will definately need some work, since English isn't my first language. I'm sure there are grammar mistakes everywhere in the article.

I'm also in the process of writing up a description of the various chapels attached, with the main focus being on the four royal burial chapels and the burial ground.KDLarsen (talk) 13:26, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

State political organisation

I have a few questions about the current setup of the Denmark, Kingdom of Denmark, and Rigsfællesskabet. From what I gather, the Danish parliament includes some representatives from the Faroes and Greenland, which also have their own autonomous governments. So we have the Denmark article covering just Jutland and nearby islands, and the Kingdom article somehow covering all three, with the Rigsfællesskabet article covering the relationship. What I'm unsure about here is what the purpose of the Kingdom article serves. There doesn't seem to be a clear political distinction between the Jutland area (better terminology?) and the whole Kingdom, especially with the parliament representation. Since the Rigsfællesskabet covers the dynamics between the central government and the autonomous governments, what is the Kingdom article for? There doesn't seem to be any real distinction that is made in any sources I can find, so I was wondering if there were any Danish ones that did. It seems to me that the Kingdom article would best be merged into the Denmark and Rigsfællesskabet article, and redirect to Denmark. There doesn't seem to be that much to merge anyway, with so little sources being placed on that page. Chipmunkdavis (talk) 16:46, 17 September 2011 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure this article title is wrong as brackets don't belong in placename titles, but not sure whether it should be Ørum Sønderlyng (which would require a {{db-move}}) or Ørum, Viborg municipality, or something else. Perhaps someone could check? Thanks. PamD 15:58, 3 October 2011 (UTC)

Review of KOD country articles

I would like to properly review how we are presenting this project's most important pages, which I think is haphazard at the moment. I'm talking about Kingdom of Denmark and Denmark and also Rigsfællesskabet. The separation of these subjects into separate pages is problematic for several reasons. The titles are ambiguous as both names are easily and frequently interchangable for both entities. This fosters confusion and creates technical issues with linking -- in sovereign state lists and tables, template-created links are most often not to the article that is wanted.

But mainly I think this is probably an unnecessary forking of content. Under the constitution, Denmark, Greenland and the Faroes constitute three constituent parts of a single unitary State. Under their respective home rule acts, Greenland and the Faroes declared themselves "self-governing territories" within this state, which altered the nature of the state but did not alter the constitution.

some references
  • "After the introduction of the democratic Constitution in 1849, the Danish Parliament unilaterally extended the Constitution to the Faroe Islands...the Faroese found that they had been incorporated into another people's nation state." "Greenland continued to be ruled as a colony until it was integrated into Denmark in a revision of the Danish Constitution in 1953." (Council of Europe, 1996, p104–105)
  • "The two measures of home rule...have made an illusion of the unitary State, and that Denmark today is a new kind of State construction, a "rigsfællesskabet", a form of commonwealth. Or, as Dr. [Frederik] Harhoff puts it: "...a tripartite community of separate and autonomous parts, each with their own original powers, but with continental Denmark as the hegemonical part with residual authority." (Council of Europe, 1996, p107)
  • "Greenland in 1953 was named an administrative district rather than a colony. But historically as well as a matter of state theory, 'Denmark' is a more ambiguous concept than we generally allow. 'This constitution applies to all parts of the Danish realm,' article 1 of the Constitution affirms. Thus, the Danish state comprises several parts, bound together by a common constitution. What this unity means, what the units are, and how the connections should be understood is less clear from the legalese. For an indication, one must consult the drafts... Page 28 states that the 'Danish Realm' comprises three parts: Denmark, the Faroe Islands, and Greenland. Article 3 of the Constitution defines a common legislative, executive, and judicial branch for these three parts of the Danish kingdom." (Østergård, 2002)
  • "Clearly, it is hard to classify Greenland's status within Denmark. Formally, it is an integral part of a unitary state with autonomous authority in a limited number of areas." (Loukacheva, 2007, p44)

If you look at France article, you notice that it manages to incorporate the overseas parts of the state into the article without deflecting focus from the European part. I don't see any reason why we couldn't accomplish this also with Denmark, as Kingdom of Denmark is a very short article. Most of it is about the relationship between the three parts, duplicating content covered at Rigsfællesskabet and Politics of Denmark. What do others think? Rennell435 (talk) 14:25, 11 December 2011 (UTC)

I've just been notified of a similar thread opened and archived recently with no response at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Denmark/Archive 2#State political organisation. Please see there for more thoughts. Rennell435 (talk) 11:31, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
  • I strongly support combining all three under the main Denmark article. The changes can be incorporated and then the other two can simply become redirects. Any volunteers? - Ipigott (talk) 12:03, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
If Rigsfællesskabet is also merged, I think it should be to Politics of Denmark and the redirect should be anchored to a section about the relationship between the three parts. Rennell435 (talk) 15:24, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
  • Support: It would be a lot of work, but I would rather see the KoD and Denmark sections merged - but not by the means of equating the Kingdom with the European country (so no "the Kingdom of Denmark is a sovereign state in Europe..."). I support a merge because it would simplify the terminology and end the confusion between the two articles.Peter (talk) 23:17, 26 December 2011 (UTC)
Note: I also support Rennell435's suggestion of rediredcting the Rigsfaelleskabet article into the 'Politics of Denmark' article.
I'd suggest a totally new section in the Denmark article, which could perhaps cover various parts of the Rigsfaellesskabet and the KoD articles, with the legal/political details moved to the Politics of Denmark article. Peter (talk) 23:17, 26 December 2011 (UTC)
Peter, you might be the best person responding here to oversee the merge... The only problem I see is the infoboxes... what data and statistics do we display? Rennell435 (talk) 03:43, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
I see two ways of doing it. We could emulate the France article and have "Denmark proper" statistics + Kingdom of Denmark total. Or, and I think this would be a preferable option, have the Denmark proper statistics on top with the Greenland and Faroese statistics as additional (not grouping them all together).. the latter option is used on the German wikipedia's article: de:Dänemark. As for the main article content - in the Denmark article I think there should be an entirely new section incorporating the introduction of the KoD article, but I'm having second thoughts about merging the Rigsfællesskabet article; it may serve the purpose that the current KoD article has now. Peter (talk) 13:09, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
I say we do it the German way, the French way isn't very useful. There's not much to merge (4 sources, all in lead), so a new section or a subsection of politics would suffice very well. While I think Rigsfællesskabet could standalone, the current content isn't very useful, and I'd support a redirect to a specific section of Politics of Denmark. Chipmunkdavis (talk) 17:15, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
Well, if it turns out that most editors would preferto merge Rigsfællesskabet as well, then that's fine because I'm not terribly fussed. But I do think it would be useful to have the article to explain the difference between Denmark (the European country) and how it differs from its "dependencies"; basically, it could serve the purpose that the "Kingdom of Denmark" article was trying to do. Comparatievely, we have articles such as "Overseas departments and territories of France" which explain the political situation of France's overseas territories, albeit that is a much more complicated situation. I just don't think it would be a good idea to throw the baby out with the bathwater.
The new section on the Denmark article could have "Rigsfællesskabet" as its 'main article' in the header. Peter (talk) 17:57, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
I'd support that. Hopefully the Rigsfællesskabet article can expand slightly. Chipmunkdavis (talk) 18:13, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
I don't mind what happens with the Rigsfællesskabet article either- just that at the moment it looks like another duplication of the Kingdom article. But then if the Kingdom article isn't going to be there anymore, the problem is already solved. You make some good points, so now I think it might be good to leave it because it does have a subject worth covering. I took a look at the German version and this is good. Rennell435 (talk) 09:09, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
Do we need many more responses before we can merge the two articles? It would be relatively easy job. There's no opposition, yet, after two weeks, which tells me that is merge isn't something any person feels strongly against. Peter (talk) 12:28, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
I think it's safe to go ahead with it. Rennell435 (talk) 17:54, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
The body will be easy to merge, but I just tried the infobox and found it difficult... Probably something I don't know how to do... Let's take this to Talk:Kingdom of Denmark. Rennell435 (talk) 18:42, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

I think the merger is a good idea. The only objection I can think of is that in English, when people say "Denmark", they don't mean Greenland. But I think we can make this clear in the article, where we address primarily the kingdom, except for sections where we split off Greenland and the Faroes and concentrate on Denmark proper.

Another possible snag will be what we call the country of Denmark, as distinct from the kingdom. "Denmark proper" is clear, but I don't know how appropriate it is. "The country of Denmark" might work, in context. "European Denmark" will not work, as the Faroes are also considered part of Europe. Likewise, I don't think "the mainland" will not work, as that would be just Jutland, wouldn't it? Also, we have to be careful with statements like "the happiest [actually, most content] place in the world", as I don't think Greenland is considered in that. — kwami (talk) 07:19, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

I thought that was supposed to be Bhutan... ;) I don't know that taking the focus off Denmark is the best idea. Most readers will want to read about metropolitan Denmark when typing the title in. The main idea of the merge was to stop confusing readers, so we should keep it as simple as possible and, instead of giving equal weight to all parts, focus on the part that most readers are interested in (otherwise we'll end up without an article on Denmark itself) and link to articles with more specific information on Faroes and Greenland. I think France is the best guide to use, as it doesn't give unwarranted weight to Guiana, etc. Rennell435 (talk) 07:32, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
I agree with Rennel435. I don't think the Denmark article will suddenly change to include all three areas, or that many people do. The point of this was to as Rennel says, eliminate a pointless and redundant page. Nothing more than short mentions and see alsos are needed in the main Denmark article. Chipmunkdavis (talk) 12:26, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
I've also agreed with the same thing. Greenland and the Faroe Islands still have their own, separate, articles. We should take a leaf out of the German Wikipedia' article which focuses on "Denmark proper" (or whatever we're going to call it...) and mentions the other two territories briefly. WikiWomen's History Month

Hi everyone. March is Women's History Month and I'm hoping a few folks here at WP:Denmark will have interest in putting on events (on and off wiki) related to women's roles in Denmark's history, society and culture. We've created an event page on English Wikipedia (please translate!) and I hope you'll find the inspiration to participate. These events can take place off wiki, like edit-a-thons, or on wiki, such as themes and translations. Please visit the page here: WikiWomen's History Month. Thanks for your consideration and I look forward to seeing events take place! SarahStierch (talk) 21:55, 1 February 2012 (UTC)

Thanks, Sarah, for your interest in encouraging coverage of women in WP Denmark. You will in fact find that there are already a fair proportion of articles about Danish women in the English Wikipedia, especially biographies. To the best of my knowledge, though, not many of them have been included in WP Women's History. Perhaps a useful task would be to incorporate some of the more significant ones, perhaps starting with the arts. An excellent basis for the creation or enhancement of articles about Danish women is the Dansk Kvindebiografisk Leksikon (Biographical Lexicon of Danish Women) which contains almost 2,000 biographies from the Middle Ages to the present day. With Google translator, most of the info comes through in English too! In addition to the Women's History Month in March, it may be useful for you to provide some basic guidelines on priorities for inclusion of articles about Danish women in WP Women's History. - Ipigott (talk) 10:50, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

Sources for article expansion

  • Some lovely photographs of ships and colonies (Dansborg & al) at this maritime museum page. Not sure about copyright, but valuable ones could be linked from the bottoms of pages and some would be old enough to qualify regardless.
  • Likewise, the Orlogsmuseet has digitized records in (in Danish) of every ship in the Dano-Norwegian fleet, only a few of which currently have their own pages or a proper spelling on the navy page. — LlywelynII 15:34, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

HDMS Wotwot

In related news, it seems most of the existing Danish naval ships are headed "HDMS", which is peachy if Denmark were owned and operated by Britain but doesn't actually fit Danish practice itself (I suppose modern ships do use KDM, but even that's new). Are you guys pretty much resigned to the current state of affairs? or should we slowly start moving them over to the proper heading (something like Danish ship X to match the treatment of the French and German ship pages)? — LlywelynII 15:43, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

If HDMS is incorrect it should be removed. I see there are quite a few articles with this designation but I'm sure it would not be an insuperable task to sort things out. So you have my full support for the change although I am certainly not an expert in the field. - Ipigott (talk) 20:39, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

Wikipedia article Gellerup

The Wikipedia article on Gellerup [[1]] appears really insufficient to me. It focusses almost solely on crime (even when it talks about transportation) - which is, to be sure, to a certain degree tennable, yet not as the core of the whole article. It might be a good idea to consider either deleting large sections of it or two rewrite the whole article. I did not want to do it myself right away as I am not too experienced with Wikipedia yet and thought also it might belong rather to your 'expert-group'... thx, bene — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.155.147.175 (talk) 13:27, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for raising the problems you see in this article. I'd say firstly you don't need to be nervous about editing or feel like you shouldn't because you're not experienced - don't worry. Be bold and don't worry about making mistakes. Secondly, I've had a look at that article and I agree that the violence/crime section does leave the article unbalanced. I've trimmed down that section, mostly by removing two short unsourced claims. However, I don't think the section should be purged or cut drastically. As you identified, the problem is with the article itself and to fix the problem of the large section on crime the rest of the article needs to be expanded around it. A user has just chosen to focus on that aspect of the district, probably because it's apparently "well known" for its crime (and its multi-ethnic makeup...), at the expense of other information.
P.P.S. I've responded here only since I don't want to post two replies.

Christmas trees in Denmark

Hi Wikiproject Denmark, I recently wrote and researched Christmas tree production in Denmark. I'm an American so if there are any changes that need to be made so that it actually makes sense in context or if there are words that should be converted to British English (given the content), I thought some of the people here might be the ones most likely to know it. Thanks. IvoShandor (talk) 02:38, 25 September 2012 (UTC)

Hi. It reads as a good article and there are no major problems that I can see. A suggestion - would the "Market" and "Trees" sections maybe be better at the top of the article, as they are essentially what the article is concerned with, rather than the scandals and shortages? That's just a small suggestion though, and given that the article seems to be in your area of interest you might have a reason. -- Peter Talk to me 16:25, 25 September 2012 (UTC)

Will my Søren Solkær Starbird wiki article pass? Mostly Danish sources.

Hi WikiProject DK! I am new to Wiki and have tried to get an article through on the photographer Søren Solkær Starbird. I hope I added enough references. I tried asking at the Teahouse chat whether it was likely to pass. I got the advice to ask here, at the Danish page. Since most sources are in Danish it probably takes a Danish person to let it pass. Or how is that working? Tak.. :) Tine Reingaard (talk) 07:26, 10 October 2012 (UTC)

Hello Tine, as long as the sources are independent from the subject (which excludes his own website, blog, facebook, etc.) and reliable (see WP:RS for help on identifying reliable sources), and they establish his "notability", it should not matter that they are in Danish. Just make sure that everything you write is backed up by quality sources and it should be OK. If in doubt, you could start out by creating the article in your sandbox and then ask for input before creating the real article. --Danmuz (talk) 08:26, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
I see you have already written the article here (don't forget to link to it when asking for advice :). In that case there's no need for the sandbox. First impression: The sources appears to be fine - one of them leads to YouTube though, which some editors may not accept as a reliable source, but overall it looks ok. The article still needs some wikifying though. Also, I haven't read through it yet, so this is just a quick first impression. --Danmuz (talk) 08:38, 10 October 2012 (UTC)

Popular pages tool update

As of January, the popular pages tool has moved from the Toolserver to Wikimedia Tool Labs. The code has changed significantly from the Toolserver version, but users should notice few differences. Please take a moment to look over your project's list for any anomalies, such as pages that you expect to see that are missing or pages that seem to have more views than expected. Note that unlike other tools, this tool aggregates all views from redirects, which means it will typically have higher numbers. (For January 2014 specifically, 35 hours of data is missing from the WMF data, which was approximated from other dates. For most articles, this should yield a more accurate number. However, a few articles, like ones featured on the Main Page, may be off).

Web tools, to replace the ones at tools:~alexz/pop, will become available over the next few weeks at toollabs:popularpages. All of the historical data (back to July 2009 for some projects) has been copied over. The tool to view historical data is currently partially available (assessment data and a few projects may not be available at the moment). The tool to add new projects to the bot's list is also available now (editing the configuration of current projects coming soon). Unlike the previous tool, all changes will be effective immediately. OAuth is used to authenticate users, allowing only regular users to make changes to prevent abuse. A visible history of configuration additions and changes is coming soon. Once tools become fully available, their toolserver versions will redirect to Labs.

If you have any questions, want to report any bugs, or there are any features you would like to see that aren't currently available on the Toolserver tools, see the updated FAQ or contact me on my talk page. Mr.Z-bot (talk) (for Mr.Z-man) 05:02, 23 February 2014 (UTC)

Creating Immigration to Denmark Page

Hi I'm a student Wikipedian interested in creating a page on Immigration to Denmark since one has not been created yet. I plan to model the organization and types of content on this page off of the existing pages of Immigration to Sweden and Immigration to Norway Please let me know if you foresee any issues in creating this page or if you would be interested in helping contribute to the page.

Comment on the WikiProject X proposal

Hello there! As you may already know, most WikiProjects here on Wikipedia struggle to stay active after they've been founded. I believe there is a lot of potential for WikiProjects to facilitate collaboration across subject areas, so I have submitted a grant proposal with the Wikimedia Foundation for the "WikiProject X" project. WikiProject X will study what makes WikiProjects succeed in retaining editors and then design a prototype WikiProject system that will recruit contributors to WikiProjects and help them run effectively. Please review the proposal here and leave feedback. If you have any questions, you can ask on the proposal page or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you for your time! (Also, sorry about the posting mistake earlier. If someone already moved my message to the talk page, feel free to remove this posting.) Harej (talk) 22:47, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

WP:VG comments subpages cleanup

Hi, there is currently a discussion taking place at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Video games#VG comments subpages regarding whether it would be acceptable to permanently shift all comments subpages associated with WP:VG articles into talk. This shift would follow the recommended approach given at WP:DCS. The WikiProject Denmark articles that would be affected by this action are these:

If you have objections related specifically to WikiProject Denmark's use of these subpages, please make this clear at the discussion so that other unrelated talk pages can be cleaned up where appropriate. Thank you. -Thibbs (talk) 15:55, 16 October 2014 (UTC)

Danish copyright law question

Hi, I've asked a question over at WP:CQ regarding the copyright for a photo taken in or before 1955, where I need input from someone familiar with Danish copyright law. I wonder whether the image might have entered public domain under earlier provisions already. And if not, when it will become PD. Don Cuan (talk) 20:54, 23 October 2014 (UTC)

WikiProject X is live!

Hello everyone!

You may have received a message from me earlier asking you to comment on my WikiProject X proposal. The good news is that WikiProject X is now live! In our first phase, we are focusing on research. At this time, we are looking for people to share their experiences with WikiProjects: good, bad, or neutral. We are also looking for WikiProjects that may be interested in trying out new tools and layouts that will make participating easier and projects easier to maintain. If you or your WikiProject are interested, check us out! Note that this is an opt-in program; no WikiProject will be required to change anything against its wishes. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Note: To receive additional notifications about WikiProject X on this talk page, please add this page to Wikipedia:WikiProject X/Newsletter. Otherwise, this will be the last notification sent about WikiProject X.

Further Expanding Immigration to Denmark page

Hi WikiDenmark,

I am a student in Rice University's course on Human Development in Global and Local Communities. Last semester I created the Immigration to Denmark page and plan to continue expanding it, specifically the sections Population, Religion, Economic Effects, and Politics. A more detailed description of my proposed changes and additions to each section can be found on my user page. Please let me know if you would like to also contribute to this page or have any suggestions about scholarly sources or news coverage in any of these areas that you feel should be considered. Danish local elections, 2009

There is an error in the table Danish local elections, 2009, where the net change should be "-54" municipal councillors (the difference between the 2522 members in the old (2006/07-2009 term of office) versus the 2468 members in the new (2010-13 term of office) councils), not "2468" as it is written now. I have not written it, but I don't know how to correct the error.{{help}} -Bornsommer (talk) 13:22, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

The article is displaying the content from the transcluded template {{Danish municipal elections, 2009}}. You can make any needed changes there. Be sure to fill out an edit summary when you do so. Best regards--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 15:22, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

You are invited to participate in Wiki Loves Pride!

  • What? Wiki Loves Pride, a campaign to document and photograph LGBT culture and history, including pride events
  • When? June 2015
  • How can you help?
1.) Create or improve LGBT-related articles and showcase the results of your work here
2.) Upload photographs or other media related to LGBT culture and history, including pride events, and add images to relevant Wikipedia articles; feel free to create a subpage with a gallery of your images (see examples from last year)
3.) Contribute to an LGBT-related task force at another Wikimedia project (Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, Wikivoyage, etc.)

Or, view or update the current list of Tasks. This campaign is supported by the Wikimedia LGBT+ User Group, an officially recognized affiliate of the Wikimedia Foundation. Visit the group's page at Meta-Wiki for more information, or follow Wikimedia LGBT+ on Facebook. Remember, Wiki Loves Pride is about creating and improving LGBT-related content at Wikimedia projects, and content should have a neutral point of view. One does not need to identify as LGBT or any other gender or sexual minority to participate. This campaign is about adding accurate, reliable information to Wikipedia, plain and simple, and all are welcome!

If you have any questions, please leave a message on the campaign's main talk page.

Thanks, and happy editing!

Editing Trustpilot's article

Hi everyone! I have reached out to several different Wikipedia editors in order to get help with editing Trustpilot's article, however, I haven't heard back from them. Today I submitted a request for a third opinion, but it was deleted. Since the article is listed under this project, I was wondering if any editors here could help? A third party is needed to help mediate the edit. Any advice or feedback would be greatly appreciated. I'm also happy to chat in Danish, if that's easier. Sources?

Hi! Can anyone help find sources for Lisbet Lücke Larsen? I was able to find one review, but not much else because of the language barrier. I've proposed it for deletion, but if anyone can find enough sourcing to show that she passes NAUTHOR, feel free to remove the tags. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 11:28, 21 February 2016 (UTC)

Hi. Never heard of her before so I did a quick Google search and screened the first 60 hits. She have apparently written 8 arts and kraft books in the last couple of years. She is not a household name from what I know and I can not find any mention of her in any type of local media. I would say no to notability. If you need help with the language barrier with this or anything else you are welcome to give me a ping. Kind regards JakobSteenberg (talk) 12:07, 21 February 2016 (UTC)

Auto-assessment of article classes

Following a recent discussion at WP:VPR, there is consensus for an opt-in bot task that automatically assesses the class of articles based on classes listed for other project templates on the same page. In other words, if WikiProject A has evaluated an article to be C-class and WikiProject B hasn't evaluated the article at all, such a bot task would automatically evaluate the article as C-class for WikiProject B.

If you think auto-assessment might benefit this project, consider discussing it with other members here. For more information or to request an auto-assessment run, please visit User:BU RoBOT/autoassess. This is a one-time message to alert projects with over 1,000 unassessed articles to this possibility. ~ RobTalk 22:25, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

Notice to participants at this page about adminship

Many participants here create a lot of content, have to evaluate whether or not a subject is notable, decide if content complies with BLP policy, and much more. Well, these are just some of the considerations at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship.

So, please consider taking a look at and watchlisting this page:

You could be very helpful in evaluating potential candidates, and maybe even finding out if you would be a suitable RfA candidate.

Many thanks and best wishes,

Translation reuest

Hi, I would like to know what the English translation of Filmens hvem-vad-hvor: Udenlanske film 1950-1967 is. Thanks in advance.--Skr15081997 (talk) 05:56, 17 July 2016 (UTC)

@Skr15081997: vad is normally spelled hvad (no differens in pronouncing /vad/, but hvad = what, and vad=ford (a crossing)) (I think the author tried to be funny, or speciel). It means "the movies who-what-where: foreign movies 1950-1967". The title is "stolen" from a more famous yearbook, da:Hvem Hvad Hvor. I tried to search for an official English titel - no luck. Tycho Brahe, an article that you or your project may be interested in, has been nominated for an individual good article reassessment. If you are interested in the discussion, please participate by adding your comments to the reassessment page. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, the good article status may be removed from the article. More details are available on the re-assessment page. Hi, I've proposed an idea based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge for a long term goal to include your country and Scandinavia/northern Europe in combined challenge target. Inequality in Denmark

Hello all. I'm working on a school-related project whereby I need to research inequality in Denmark. I have excellent sources, but I'm looking for general advice. I plan on creating a new heading in the Economy of Denmark article already created and labeling this "Inequality in Denmark." I also plan to focus on how this relates to happiness as Denmark is considered the happiest country in the world and so I'm planning to create a sub-heading that addresses a possible correlation between happiness and inequality. 2016 Community Wishlist Survey Proposal to Revive Popular Pages

Greetings WikiProject Denmark/Archive 2 Members!

This is a one-time-only message to inform you about a technical proposal to revive your Popular Pages list in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey that I think you may be interested in reviewing and perhaps even voting for:

  • Fix and improve Mr.Z-bot's popular pages report

If the above proposal gets in the Top 10 based on the votes, there is a high likelihood of this bot being restored so your project will again see monthly updates of popular pages.

Further, there are over 260 proposals in all to review and vote for, across many aspects of wikis.

Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.

Popular pages report

We – Community Tech – are happy to announce that the Popular pages bot is back up-and-running (after a one year hiatus)! You're receiving this message because your WikiProject or task force is signed up to receive the popular pages report. Every month, Community Tech bot will post at Wikipedia:WikiProject Denmark/Archive 2/Popular pages with a list of the most-viewed pages over the previous month that are within the scope of WikiProject Denmark.

We've made some enhancements to the original report. Here's what's new:

  • The pageview data includes both desktop and mobile data.
  • The report will include a link to the pageviews tool for each article, to dig deeper into any surprises or anomalies.
  • The report will include the total pageviews for the entire project (including redirects).

We're grateful to Mr.Z-man for his original Mr.Z-bot, and we wish his bot a happy robot retirement. Just as before, we hope the popular pages reports will aid you in understanding the reach of WikiProject Denmark, and what articles may be deserving of more attention. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us at m:User talk:Community Tech bot.

Hello,

I was hoping to add/edit an article about Mikkel Frandsen the current CEO of Vestergaard: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vestergaard_Frandsen.
