@MrLinkinPark333: very kind! If you think that's the only page I'll need, I'm happy with that—in a case where I can't see any of the material, I usually ask for a page or two either side. Some time ago, I used a book where it looked like the feller was mentioned on one page, but the previous three pages talked about him without actually naming the guy! • Antonen, Mel (1989). USA Today. {{cite news}}: Missing or empty |title= (help)

For Darren Prince. a Sports Collector Digest article mentions possible significant coverage in an article Mel Antonen wrote about Prince in 1989 for USA Today:

The Monday after that show, Antonen wrote about the [Atlantic City Trump Plaza 500 Home Run Club] show – and Prince.

"...I was on the front page of USA TODAY."

Antonen wrote about Prince and Greenhill as big-time players in the [baseball card selling] business.

I was wondering if someone who has access to USA Today's archives could please check for me. If this LA Times article is anything to go by, the show was January 25 of that year. The Monday after would've been the January 30, 1989.

tl;dr does an article by Mel Antonen with significant coverage of Darren Prince show up in USA Today's archives? Thanks, Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 06:46, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@WhisperToMe: If HathTrust is right, then that quote starts on page 5 is from 1932. Unfortuantely, not even a snippet is available. --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 20:30, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
However @WhisperToMe: I found a workaround. The San Francisco Public Library thankfully archived that volume on archive.org. It's page 5 of the July 1932 issue (volume 38 issue 7). --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 20:40, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
