For Cueva de las Manos

I am just hoping for a full chapter of the book ("The Black Series in the Hunting Scenes of Cueva De Las Manos, Río Pinturas, Patagonia, Argentina"). If not the whole chapter, then at least pages 312–313, 316, 318, 321, and 323–326.

Chapter 16 of Tom Karen's Toymaker?

Evening all,

Having been linked here from a happily resolved chat about possible copyright disputes through Google Books, thought I’d give this a shot.

Is anyone able to produce a copy of Chapter 16 of Tom Karen's Toymaker autobiography? It seems the author is talking about their time as a designer at Ogle Design, responsible for the design of the Dennis fire line of the 1980s, and I wonder whether there is anything to learn from that to add into any articles.

Think this is how it goes:

  • Karen, Tom (12 November 2020). Toymaker: The autobiography of the man whose designs shaped our childhoods. Blink Publishing. pp. 162–173. ISBN 978-1-78870-087-0.

For Dennis RS series, Dennis SS series, Dennis DS series, etc.

Two references are used at Base62:

  • ieee.org • "A secure, lossless, and compressed Base62 encoding"
  • wiley.com • "A base62 transformation format of ISO 10646 for multilingual identifiers"

Some recent edits at that article may be a problem and I'd like to see at least the first of the above. The main issue is that originally (permalink) the article said that 0 was represented by A and 52 was represented by 0 (zero). Now it says that 0 is represented by 0 and 10 is represented by A. This is one of those issues where different people use different codes but the article should follow the source. Thanks, Johnuniq (talk) 08:27, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Journal called Liturgical Arts

I'm looking for the final page, p. 63, of Anson, Peter F. (February 1955). "Geoffrey Fuller Webb (1879–1954)". Liturgical Arts. 23 (2): 61–63. The bulk of the article is freely available at this webpage, but the final page of the article, which gives a list of Webb's major works, isn't reproduced there. The ISSN of the journal is 0024-5097. Note that the webpage I mentioned above calls the journal Liturgical Arts Quarterly, but every other source I've found calls it Liturgical Arts: A Quarterly of [or Devoted to] the Arts of the Catholic Church. This is for an article I'm preparing, to be called List of works by Geoffrey Webb.

I'd be very grateful if anyone could find this page. Thanks, Antiquary (talk) 17:47, 2 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings, has someone access to these three publications? For User:Jo-Jo Eumerus/Proxima Centauri b

Thanks, Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 16:34, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Jo-Jo Eumerus: All three articles are available at GALE in The Wikipedia Library here, here and here. —Bruce1eetalk 16:58, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Bruce1ee. The thing about Gale is that the URLs are a little hard to walk back on. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 10:48, 18 November 2021 (UTC) {{resolved}}[reply]
@Jo-Jo Eumerus: I found those three articles in GALE simply by searching for the article titles in the Wikipedia Library search bar at the top of the page. —Bruce1eetalk 11:23, 18 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That's the thing - the Gale paywall does not even display the article title so that doesn't work for anyone who lands on it. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 11:40, 18 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings, has someone access to this chapter?[40] For User:Jo-Jo Eumerus/TRAPPIST-1

Thanks, Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 17:24, 13 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Jo-Jo Eumerus This is a full book, not a chapter. Which chapter would you like? —‍Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 15:08, 14 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately Google Books does not specify which chapter TRAPPIST-1 is mentioned in. If it's only one, that chapter. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 15:15, 14 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Jo-Jo Eumerus, if you click "preview PDF" at the link above, you should get the first 30-ish pages. The only information related to TRAPPIST-1 is a single-paragraph anecdote on page 1. I doubt there's anything there you don't already know: this is a book about linguistics, not astronomy. (I suppose it's possible that there's more outside the preview range, but that seems unlikely.) Extraordinary Writ (talk) 06:38, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, that's too sparse even for me. I'll park it on the talk page since it might be worth commenting on why media treated the planets as a certainty when the astronomers didn't. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 10:31, 20 November 2021 (UTC) {{resolved}}[reply]

"Do U.S. firms disguise acquisitions to avoid taxes?" in The Financial Review

  • Harris, Jeremiah; O'Brien, William (31 August 2021). "Do U.S. firms disguise acquisitions to avoid taxes?". The Financial Review. Wiley.

For Pseudo-reorganization acquisitions, I'd like to use the published peer-reviewed article instead of earlier conference proceedings and published manuscripts made by the same authors. It's probably the single most important quantitative study performed thus far on the topic, though can't get access to it through The Wikipedia Library, so I figure I'd ask here.

Thanks, — Mikehawk10 (talk) 06:36, 19 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
