Wikipedia:WikiProject Open Knowledge Foundation

The Open Knowledge Foundation (OKF) is a nonprofit organization which promotes access to information. Because many of its supporters are also allies to the Wikipedia community and because English Wikipedia is an ideal meeting place for storing working notes of the organization, this wikiproject exists as a community space for helping OKF people understand their relationship with Wikipedia. It is also a workspace for planning the Wikipedia-movement aspects of OKF outreach events and online community meetings.

Agenda

  • Participation in the summer 2014 Wikimania conference in London
    • there will be an open access track at this Wikimania and hopefully future ones
    • see wm2014:Outreach/Open_access for more details
  • Development of Wikipedia articles related to the Open Knowledge Foundation
  • Development of all Wikipedia articles related to the open movement
