Welcome to the British television shows task force! This task force was formerly the WikiProject British TV shows. The project became a task force under the new WikiProject British TV on 29 December 2011. Our aim is to improve Wikipedia articles about British TV shows.

Please add your name to the membership page

All non-stub articles should include the Template:Infobox television (note that all fields are optional). Current TV shows should have final air-date set to "present".

Stub articles should use the template {{UK-tv-prog-stub}}.

The first occurrence of the title of the show should be Emboldened and Italicised, and later occurrences should be Italicised. Likewise, all references to other shows should be Italicised and the first occurrence linked.

Categories that could be used include:

• category:BBC Television shows
• category:British television comedy
• category:Channel 4 original programming
• category:Channel 5 (British TV channel) original programming
• category:British game shows
• category:ITV (TV network) original programming
• category:Sky UK original programming]
• category:United Kingdom television show stubs

If it doesn't fit in any of these categories, it should go into

• Category:British television shows

July's Collaboration of the Month was Cold Feet.

1. Look in category:United Kingdom television show stubs, and try and improve one!
2. Add infobox and categories to a page.
3. Tidy up a page.
4. Create pages for red links in Missing encyclopedic articles.

Stub templates

Any stubs should have either the {{UK-tv-prog-stub}} or the {{BBC-tv-prog-stub}} templates, not {{tv-stub}}. Other related UK TV articles that do not detail TV shows can use {{UK-tv-stub}} or {{BBC-tv-stub}}.
