Welcome to the Australian Biota WikiProject, a collaboration area and group of editors that is part of WikiProject Australia dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of Australian biota.

Goals

• To enhance and collaborate all articles that are related to Australian biota.

Scope

• Everything to do with Australian flora and fauna.

The guidelines of associated WikiProjects should be used in creating content on Australia biota. For example, for the Rainbow Lorikeet article, the guidelines of WikiProject Birds should be used.

When a common (vernacular) name is used as the article title, the boldfaced common name is followed by the italic boldfaced scientific name in round parentheses in the first sentence of the lead.
