Welcome to the Evangelion work group, a task force that aims to organize, expand, clean up, and guide Neon Genesis Evangelion-related articles on Wikipedia. If you would like to participate, you can simply start by editing any Neon Genesis Evangelion pages, or join the task force below and/or contribute to the discussion on the talk page. Be sure to check out the to-do list below for some of the ongoing tasks.

Scope

The scope of the task force will extend to include the manga, anime, video games merchandise. More specifically, the task force will include:

  • The manga, television anime, feature films, video games, music;
  • The Neon Genesis Evangelion universe in general;
  • Individual characters and other elements;
  • Use of mythology, geology, and other inspirations within the series;
  • Neon Genesis Evangelion as a cultural phenomenon; and
  • English language adaptation of the metaseries.

While not specifically part of the task force (as such articles are not focused on Neon Genesis Evangelion), the following topics should be looked into as well:

  • Cast, crew, distribution companies, production companies of Neon Genesis Evangelion related items.

Our scope does not include:

  • Fanfiction and fan culture;
  • Dōjinshi;
  • Any other form of speculation; and
  • Works with only a passing reference to Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Open tasks

  • Main Article
    • General cleanup and such
  • Images
    • All images used for Evangelion related articles MUST have adequate fair use rationales added to their description page.
    • All images used MUST be captioned (complies with fair use)
    • All images and fair use rationales MUST comply with Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria
    • Add needed images
  • Develop and maintain a standardized set of rules and guidelines for Neon Genesis Evangelion articles (such as the "independent research" cleanup currently needed on "Angel (Neon Genesis Evangelion)"
  • Use Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Television and Wikipedia:Notability (television) to develop the episode articles.
  • Create a userbox for the Work Group
  • Update information on "Rebuild of Evangelion" and the Live-action Eva Movie series as news becomes available.
  • The Drive to "Good Article" status: we need to get *all* of the Evangelion related articles up to Good Article status. This means fixing them all to be in accordance with Wikipedia's rules and regulation (i.e. removing Analysis and such).
  • Standardize terminology from translation (see Talk page for discussion)
  • Update the Petit Eva: Evangelion@School OVA series article
