Rank Article Class Views Image Notes/about
Vladimir Putin 3,815,361 As the invasion enters its third week, #1 gets accused of more war crimes in every passing week. Not surprising, as it follows the same tactics as the Russian military intervention in the Syrian civil war.

Meanwhile, Europe (mostly Poland) deals with the biggest migrant crisis since the Second World War, with 3.2 million refugees (as of 14 March, 1.8 million going to Poland alone).

2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine 3,617,897
The Batman (film) 2,348,440 Breaking up the horrors of war is the tension of living in Gotham City. An exceptionally made, even if fairly long, superhero movie that emphasizes why Batman is known as the World's Greatest Detective (Robert Pattinson's Dark Knight has to go through much investigation against a Zodiac Killer-inspired Riddler), The Batman opened to glowing reviews and has shown that like Spider-Man: No Way Home, superhero movies will make money as if there wasn't a pandemic, with an opening of $134 million in the US alone.
Ukraine 1,450,466 Ukrainian cities continue to be destroyed, with the Siege of Mariupol seeing some of the worst fighting and the highest levels of casualties (the highest estimates suggest the siege has 20,000 civilian casualties, more than the rest of the war put together).
Russo-Ukrainian War 1,212,786
Anna Sorokin 1,197,275 This here writer confesses all this attention on Wikipedia made him start watching Inventing Anna, chronicling another Russian doing unsavory things - though at least Sorokin (played with an unusual accent by the actress on the left, Julia Garner) only caused financial damage as she pretended to be a heiress to infiltrate New York's high society.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy 1,189,635 The actor/comedian, turned Ukrainian president, turned war-leader remains defiant, refusing to yield any part of his country without a fight.
Elizabeth Holmes 887,288 HBO already made a documentary about Theranos and how their would-be revolution in clinical tests turned out to not work at all. And now Hulu is doing a miniseries where Amanda Seyfried plays the company's CEO whose ambitions were only matched by her willingness to lie her way to the top (and eventual bottom, as earlier this year Holmes was found guilty on four counts of defrauding investors).
Deaths in 2022 866,600 I'm so insecure, I think
That I'll die before I drink...
International Women's Day 744,903 March 8 is the date of this holiday celebrating the achievement of women, and a reminder they still need to fight for their rights.
Shane Warne 726,695 The Australian cricket legend who passed away last week is still being mourned.
Turning Red 726,695 Pixar has complained about having their last three features relegated to Disney+ while Disney still put out Raya and the Last Dragon and Encanto in theaters. The latest one is Turning Red, about a Chinese-Canadian teenager who has to deal with parental demands for perfectionism, getting tickets to see her favorite boy band, and the fact that strong emotions make her become a red panda. Reviews were very positive, and this here writer admits the movie is entertaining even if not close to Pixar's best as Soul or Luca were.
Elon Musk 678,775 Elon Musk says/does so much it's impossible to pinpoint what exactly is driving views of the Elon Musk article, so I'll just copy and paste the most recent Elon Musk headline about Elon Musk that I saw: "Elon Musk Challenges Vladimir Putin to 'Single Combat' for Ukraine"
NATO 669,590 This military alliance was created to counter the Soviet Union. And the Russian remains keep on fearing it, to the point part of why #2 happened is #1 doing its best to prevent #4 from joining NATO.
2022 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election 658,247 This week saw five Indian states count the votes to elect their state Legislative Assemblies. Much of the attention was focused on India's largest state, which makes up about 1/6th of the country's population. The Bharatiya Janata Party won a reduced but still significant majority, thus re-electing chief minister Yogi Adityanath, a monk-turned politician known for his hardline Hindu nationalist views. The results in general were a strong result for the BJP, which won re-election in all four states in which it was incumbent.
2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election 636,105
Member states of NATO 630,286 Seeing Joe Biden state that Russia extending their military operations to one of those would downright cause a World War III certainly pushed more people into learning what #14 consists of.
Russia 617,581 Let's just leave some advice regarding the current president (#1)... in the form of techno music. From 5 years ago and yet still relevant!
Azov Battalion 603,189 Putin's stated goal in invading Ukraine is denazification. While this is obviously a load of bull, the neo-Nazi Azov Battalion—currently assisting the National Guard of Ukraine in their defense of Mariupol—isn't helping Ukraine in any rhetorical battles.
Zoë Kravitz 545,507 The Catwoman of #3 - a role she also played in The Lego Batman Movie! - who is the daughter of a rockstar and an actress (not to mention the stepdaughter of another superhero) and has much experience in blockbusters, from X-Men: First Class to Mad Max: Fury Road, passing by Fantastic Beasts and Divergent.
Pieces of Her (TV series) 544,102 One more Netflix show, a suspense miniseries adapting a novel and starring Toni Collette.
The Kashmir Files 542,958 An Indian drama film following a group of Kashmiri Hindus fleeing the valley in 1990 in response to the insurgency in Jammu and Kashmir. Critics have broadly praised the performance of some actors, (particularly Anupam Kher, pictured) and its less fictionalised approach, but many have also accused it of being communalist and exploiting the community's story.
Radhe Shyam 524,011 Another Indian film released on the same day, this one is a romance film set in late 1970s Italy. The film's production was praised, but its story and screenplay don't seem to have been a hit with the critics.
Elden Ring 515,480 FromSoftware's latest game, directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki with worldbuilding from George R. R. Martin, combines the action role-playing gameplay of its previous offerings (Souls, Bloodbourne, and Sekiro) with a massive, interactive open world. It's received rave reviews from critics, with some believing it's destined to sit alongside The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild as the bar by which future open-world games are measured.
Ernest Shackleton 502,906 Keeping off Pamela Anderson, subject of another Hulu series based on true events, is a British explorer who was among the first to explore Antarctica, and in the centennial of his death had the discovery of the wreck of his ship Endurance, that sunk on the way of what would be Shackleton's last expedition.
