@L235 and GeneralizationsAreBad: I've indeffed the master following two previous blocks that violated a topic ban plus an unsuccessful unblock request. I think this editor has been given plenty of WP:ROPE and has now resorted to sock puppetry. If they wish to return to editing, they'll need to do so with an affirmation that their disruptive editing cannot continue. Mkdwtalk 22:25, 25 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Removing the former name of Uebert Angel, as User:Simon Mugava and previous socks did. I realise the Simon Mugava account is stale (and you can't say anything about the IP), but there appear to be a number of older confirmed accounts doing this, with a couple turning up since I semi-protected. It's either the same person with multiple accounts or, presumably, followers of Uebert Angel acting as meatpuppets.

They sometimes claim his passport proves his name and that his documented "formerly known as" name shouldn't be used.

I've blocked a couple of these as suspected socks, ans I think we could do with a Checkuser check on them - and to also see if there are any more sleepers.

I don't understand whether you mean there are non-stale accounts, and I don't see any confirmed accounts, stale or non-stale. Thus, the principal thing I can do in a check is to compare the list of suspected puppets to each other.--Bbb23 (talk) 14:11, 23 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
