This is my first SPI, so please inform me if I do anything wrong, and I'll correct it ASAP. The background is that Wittenberg University has had WP:SPAs editing it recently, usually including information that appears to be promotional. After starting what seemed to be a discussion with User:Johnathan87 and warning him of WP:EDIT WAR and WP:3RR, he proceeded to ask me to self revert [1]. I explained that I might if reliable sources were provided [2] Then, a new user, User:Seanusa90, came and made the same types of edits.

A couple of days ago, User:Jejejeje567 and obvious sockpuppet User:Jejejeje568 (now blocked) made the same type of edits except that they were blatant copyvios of the source. This user appears to have the same agenda, but probably not the same user although probably a meat puppet.

(edit) I've added another one. While it was true that the offending edits had stopped, as soon as I made some edits away from their preferred version, a new SPA showed up and made the same edits. Reinserting the same things as the rest of these SPAs, as well as also inserting another Copyvio. Apparition11 Complaints/Mistakes 20:04, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

(edit) There's a new one. I requested that Seanusa90 reply to my post on the article's talk page here at 5:06 UTC, and then Windowsforgood was created at 5:09 and was the account who replied to me. He went on to defend the edits by telling me not to worry about it and "Wikipedia apparently is very reliable in student's decisions on going to college" [3] removed my {{POV}} tag. Note: He was blocked for 48 hours while I was filling this out as a result from a thread at ANI Apparition11 Complaints/Mistakes 07:05, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- I have blocked all accounts indef (or they were already blocked indef) except for Johnathan87 as Johnathan87. I will be warning that account that the use of meat puppets and socks is disallowed. After the previous SPI and eventual indef block of Johnathan87, Samual890 came as an obvious sockpuppet. He was blocked on April 5 for 31 hours due to disruptive editing. Now, while Samual890 is currently on a 1 week block placed on April 7 for returning to the same thing when his block expired, Andrewkols comes and immediately reinstates the edits made by Samual890.

  • Edit where Andrewkols came and reinstated edits:[10]

Besides all being SPAs pertaining to Wittenberg University, their sigs have a remarkable resemblance:

UPDATE: Samual890's block has been reset and extended for three more days [16], and Andrewkols has been indef blocked as an obvious sockpuppet [17]. It seems that this is taken care of for the time being, so I think that this can be closed now. Thanks.
