Not mentioned in the target. Pichpich (talk) 23:05, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Keep: only because I edited to add mention in the target. It's a french climbing term (fr:Mouvements d'escalade). I did my best to add the definition to the French term with interwiki links. I might have gotten it wrong, so please update/edit/fix. sbb (talk) 00:39, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment should a non-English term appear in an English language glossary? Shouldn't it be on Wiktionary instead? -- 67.70.27.246 (talk) 21:44, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Interesting question. I know a only a tiny bit about climbing terms, but from what I do know, many of them are French or come from French. I'm not sure how much lolotte is universal, or just French. From the other definitions, it does seem similar to 'dropknee'/'Egyptian'. But I'm not knowledgeable enough to say if they're related or synonyms. sbb (talk) 23:03, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Followup: Wikipedia is not Wiktionary, but a brief definition/statement of a term is absolutely acceptable in a Glossary / 'List of terms' article. It should definitely be in Wiktionary as well. sbb (talk) 20:36, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Keep: an English language google search suggests its in at least occasional use by English-speaking climbers as a technical climbing term. Firefangledfeathers (talk) 20:40, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was keep. (non-admin closure) CycloneYoris talk! 22:33, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Should be deleted. Nothing links to it, and seems to be the only Family Guy season number that is spelled out. sbb (talk) 18:53, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep per the consensus at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2021 January 22#Harry Potter: Book Six. It's unambiguous as to which season it's meant to refer to, and isn't hurting anything. Some people might even search it with the full word. Regards, SONIC678 21:20, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, but FG seasons 1–6, 8–19 don't exist as spelled-out redirects. Only season 7/seven. Should we create the other 18 spelled-out pages? Seems kinda weird and pointless, when search engines are relatively smart enough to complete the "sixteen -> 16", etc., translations. Why is "seven" special? sbb (talk) 22:57, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not necessarily saying that "seven" is special or that we should create the other pages, I'm just saying that this redirect isn't really in the way of anything, like with a lot of other such "(season [spelled-out number]) redirects. About such search engines (e.g., Google), Wikipedia's search engine doesn't seem to have the same capabilities, but again, I'm not really arguing that we should create the other eighteen spelled-out Family Guy season redirects (or that "seven" is special). Regards, SONIC678 04:51, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was Speedy Delete per G7. 86.23.109.101 (talk) 15:03, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know how plausible this redirect is, since Untied Kingdom general election doesn't exist. The redirect page only has 147 pageviews for 5 years, while "Next United Kingdom general election" has over 4 million pageviews. Also, I don't know if we should retarget to the correct target because it's not enough to justify the redirect. Seventyfiveyears (talk) 16:25, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure if this redirect was ever useful, but certainly not anymore now that the target is itself a redirect (due to lack of notability). Lennart97 (talk) 13:56, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete useless as a redirect since no-one is ever going to be searching for this album in the Wikipedia talk namespace. This could probably be G8'd as a talk page with no existing subject page. There is a misplaced draft in the page history, but since it was last edited in 2009 it would qualify for G13 deletion if moved into the draft namespace. The draft is entirely unsourced (and the article this used to target was sourced only to discogs) so if restored and moved to article space this version of the article may qualify for A9 deletion as well. 86.23.109.101 (talk) 14:05, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep as R from incomplete disambiguation. I thinks it's reasonable to describe 2x cricketers and an ice hockey player as "athletes". Note that the French cricketer was at this title. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 18:45, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Shhhnotsoloud. Regarding Allen Sangree, it's hard to tell which Douglas Robinson is being referred to there. If it's not one of the people who already have an article, then you have the option of replacing it with a red link with a more precise disambiguator than "athlete". The result of the discussion was retarget to Cookware and bakeware#Bakeware and add a hatnote to the section. plicit 06:50, 13 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I think people searching for these are more likley to be looking for an article on cake tins than an article on a stadium that was nicknamed "The Cake Tin" due to it's resemblance to one. Any search I do indicates that the cookware is the primary meaning of this phrase, but I'm unsure where to target these. Cookware and bakeware gives a general overview of the topic, especially in the Cookware and bakeware#Bakeware section, but there's also the spun out Mold (cooking implement) article, which could be a reasonable target 86.23.109.101 (talk) 12:53, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Portable farmShipping container  (talk · links · history · stats)     [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]

I can't figure out the connection between this redirect and it's target, I assume someone built a farm in a shipping container at some point? The only mention of farming in the target is a sentence saying shipping containers are used for transporting farm produce 86.23.109.101 (talk) 12:39, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. I can't either. Enwiki has nothing on "portable farm". I fixed the 2x incoming links. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 18:55, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete After searching I think the connection is that the company Freight Farms decided to use to use shipping containers for year long farming and I managed to find one article that referred to them by the term portable farm [[2]]. However, I haven’t found any other articles referring to these containers by this name nor does the Freight Farms article use that term either. In fact, I found more links for a VR farming simulator on Steam.--67.70.101.238 (talk) 20:37, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to Renewable energy. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 18:59, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was Retarget to Sample (statistics) and Sampling (statistics). signed, Rosguill talk 20:01, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I think these two redirects should probably point to the same target, since one is just the plural of the other, but I'm unsure which target is better. 86.23.109.101 (talk) 11:17, 28 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Set indexify with Simple random sample, Systematic random sample, Stratified random sample, Cluster random sample, and probably others. As a quicker solution, could instead target both to Sample (statistics) (yes, apparently that is a separate article from Sampling (statistics)), but I don't think that article really articulates the differences and searchers probably are seeking something more specific anyway. Unfortunately the relevant articles do not follow a consistent title format, with some including "sample" and others including "sampling" but that's an issue for requested moves. Mdewman6 (talk) 01:48, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment I added Random sampling that should be treated similarly to the others. Mdewman6 (talk) 02:57, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Re/target all to Sampling (statistics) which is a generic article with several sections relating to different possibilities. A separate SIA is not required: in fact a third article to Sample (statistics) and Sampling (statistics) might just make the confusion worse. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 11:59, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Agree Re/target all to Sampling (statistics), which is the article that covers the concepts well. Newystats (talk) 10:29, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This is a non-notable enemy who isn't mentioned at the target article. It was mentioned at Lakitu until July 2007, but hasn't been mentioned since that time, so I'm not sure about retargeting that redirect there. I'm leaning towards deletion unless a mention can be added somewhere. Regards, SONIC678 05:16, 28 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete the fact that no one has no has brought up Dark Lakitu not being in the main Lakitu article for over a decade strongly indicates that no one is looking this up. The current target doesn’t work either since it’s a minor enemy not mentioned.--67.70.100.30 (talk) 05:21, 28 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak retarget to Lakitu, where searchers will find some information related to the generic enemy. I wouldn't oppose outright deletion though. 86.23.109.101 (talk) 13:19, 28 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don’t think a retarget is necessary here. Taking a look at the Lakitu article this minor variant that only appeared in a bonus area in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (not mentioned there) hasn’t been mentioned in the article for years strongly indicating that problem aren’t searching for it.--67.70.101.238 (talk) 02:43, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

But alas, that was turned into a redirect itself, so I don't know if we should keep this thing lying around. I suggest we delete it unless someone can provide a justification.
