I don't see any connection relevant to the encyclopedia between the redirect term and any target on the disambiguation page to which it points. I would delete, unless this term can actually be added to a relevant article, in which case I would retarget it there. bd2412 T 16:16, 28 November 2017 (UTC)

It's apparently a subordinate title to Khan (title), and it was mentioned in an older revision of that article. – Uanfala 22:14, 28 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Would October 9 be a better target? feminist 10:46, 28 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to October 9 with a hatnote to the album. bd2412 T 15:22, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
  • Retarget to October 9 with a hatnote to current target per User:BD2412 --Lenticel (talk) 01:06, 29 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to October 9. The track titled "9th of October" is no. 12 on Blue Lips, and judging from Page View Stats there is no urgent need for a hatnote on the current target. Sam Sailor 23:01, 2 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Unnecessary dab of a unique episode title. The redirects without "(InuYasha episode)" already exist, and these are not titles that get repeated in other media, especially those involving the particular characters like Sango, Sesshomaru, and Miroku. The result of the discussion was disambiguate. -- Tavix (talk) 17:04, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • OchoŌchō  (talk · links · history · stats)     [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]

Since “ocho” is Spanish for eight, people might be looking for many other subjects than some Japanese dynasty. For example, it is the name of several people and characters, like this one. Suggest disambiguate. 165.91.13.63 (talk) 01:21, 28 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • I could support disambiguation if you found more items, but a real Japanese dynasty is much more important than a minor television character, so it should stay a redirect if these two are the only "Ocho" titles. Nyttend (talk) 04:08, 28 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment I can sorta see the case for a disambiguation page here:
    1. Sources about Ōchō are academic ones and always use correct diacritics; to put it another way, Ōchō is not the WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT by usage for "Ocho" without diacritics.
    2. Other Japanese era names like Bunpō or Tokuji get somewhat fewer views than Ōchō [1]; I suspect many of the "excess" viewers are looking for a dicdef of Spanish ocho.
    3. A bit WP:IAR, but a dab page is better than stuffing up Ōchō with a bunch of hatnotes for minor pop culture stuff, and it also gives us a convenient place to hang a {{wiktionary}} link and/or a "See also" link to 8.
Other than the character mentioned by nom, there's songs called "Ocho" on the albums Grass 2 Grace and Un Corazón de Nadie, and a Mount Ōchō in Okuetsu Kōgen Prefectural Natural Park. Cheers, 59.149.124.29 (talk) 04:36, 28 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Dabify. Agreeing with 59.149.124.29 that the era isn't likely to be the primary topic of the diacriticless title, and being an especially brief period among hundreds of Japanese eras makes it quite obscure. I've drafted a dab below the redirect based on the suggestions so far, but I haven't included any of the songs: I don't generally feel that there should be dab entries for songs that are only mentioned in the corresponding album articles, unless we can provide more content about the song other than its name and track number. That's just my opinion though, and I wouldn't object if these entries are added. – Uanfala 12:29, 28 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate. bd2412 T 15:22, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
  • Dab the diacritic one can stay where it is, but Ocho in the English wikipedia world has stronger connection to the Spanish eight. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:00, 28 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Dabify per 59.149.124.29 --Lenticel (talk) 00:46, 29 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate per 59.149.124.59, and also on the off-chance that someone fluent in Spanish but not English accidentally ends up at that page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ToThAc (talkcontribs)
