In my understanding, it doesn't make any sense to split the hyphenated portion of a Korean name, leaving these redirects as making no sense. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 23:52, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete since they mislead just by existing. These were created by Neelix in 2007 when the article was at Bae Yong Joon. He probably thought each element was a separate name. —Xezbeth (talk) 10:09, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was keep. A source has been provided to show this would pass RCAPS, and all subsequent !votes were in favor of keeping. Even though the numbers may make this seem like a "no consensus", this should be a full "keep". -- Tavix (talk) 20:02, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep per [1] it was stylised in all capitals at the end of its life; geocites.ws one of the main geocities archivers is exclusively stylised in all caps, together meaning there is a clear connection between the subject and the capitalisation thus meeting WP:RCAPS. Additionally, the redirect received over 200 views between January and May this year meaning that people clearly find it useful - WP:RFD#K5. Thryduulf (talk) 08:05, 20 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as per Thryduulf above. When a topic is (or was) frequently referred to in all caps, WP:RCAPS does not require, or even sugest, that a redirect from such a form be deleted. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 18:17, 21 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hamilton Wyoming High School

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. Deryck C. 14:20, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't found evidence that Wyoming High School in Ohio has ever used "Hamilton" in its school name. -- Tavix (talk) 14:39, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment The high school is in Hamilton County, Ohio. I'm neutral towards that as the searcher is trying to find that high school. But the second one where it's just Hamlton W can be deleted as not a notable nickname. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:18, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Delete both. I don't see any usage of "Hamilton Wyoming" and "Hamilton W". There is a neighboring high school called Hamilton High School, so I'm sure they wouldn't want to adopt those names. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:17, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete both. As an Ohio native, I became accustomed to hearing Place Name High School as a shorthand for indicating the place in which Name High School is located, e.g. if you don't want to say "Carroll High School, located in Dayton, beat Davidson High School, located in Hilliard", you say "Dayton Carroll High School beat Hilliard Davidson High School". But I've never heard the county name employed for this purpose, and the use of the city name, combined with the nearby city of Hamilton that Angus notes, makes this quite confusing — one would expect "Hamilton Wyoming High School" to be Wyoming High School in the city of Hamilton. Nyttend (talk) 23:07, 2 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
PS, I suppose the county might be used if there were two high schools with the same name (e.g. Oakwood, Cuyahoga County, Ohio had its own high school, and you had to say "Cuyahoga Oakwood HS" to distinguish it from Montgomery Oakwood HS in Oakwood, Montgomery County, Ohio), but first off I'm not aware of any of those, and secondly there's nowhere in Ohio called "Wyoming" except the one where this high school is located, so it's not necessary to distinguish this one from any other. Capitalization error on Mars, and the correctly-spelled redirect Chinese Mars exploration program points to a different article: confusing when searching. — JFG talk 17:02, 13 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget "Mars" and Delete "mars" – Agree that Chinese space program#Mission to Mars and beyond would be a better target for the generic descriptive title "Chinese Mars exploration program". Then, I don't see the point of keeping an equivalent redirect with only "mars" spelled lowercase, so delete that one. — JFG talk 16:51, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • SpaceX reusable orbital taxiSpaceX Dragon  (talk · links · history · stats)     [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]

No mainstream use of this term to designate the SpaceX Dragon capsule. Term is no longer mentioned in target article (apparently it was in 2014 when this redirect was created). Misleading for readers who search for "SpaceX reusable…" — JFG talk 12:57, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - the word "taxi" is problematic here. It's not up to us to legitimize the word being used in this way. - Richard Cavell (talk) 13:59, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete -- agree. This term has not come into widespread use, even though it was in the article cited in the section this redierct pointed at when the redirect was created. I was the original creator of the redirect. Think it is no longer useful. N2e (talk) 17:57, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was speedy delete as G6 by Nyttend. -- Tavix (talk) 19:55, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Points to a completely different geographic location - obvious error. PRehse (talk) 12:11, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Speedy delete. This was obviously created in error by somebody who confused the two countries. As such, surely it meets {{db-error}}? — Smjg (talk) 12:26, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Pinging RHaworth in case he wants to respond. -- Tavix (talk) 14:42, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment No explanation has been given for the removal of {{db-error}} from this redirect. @RHaworth: @Richardcavell: How is there any doubt about it? — Smjg (talk) 16:28, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Reply - I believe that db-error applies to pages that were created inconsistently with the intention of the creator, due to technical error/language error/etc. If a well-meaning editor creates a page that is consistent with his intention, db-error does not apply. - Richard Cavell (talk) 17:58, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Do you have evidence of this? Neither the wording of {{db-error}} nor of WP:G6 makes a distinction between an inherent error in an editor's intention and an error in the execution of an intention, as far as I can see.... — Smjg (talk) 12:22, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Non-freeware

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. While both the arguments for retargetting and for deletion seemed reasonable, the fact this has no mainspace incoming links and that even amongst those advocating retargetting there is no consensus as to what the target should be, I do believe consensus in this RfD is for deletion of non-freeware. Additionally, this does not conflict much with the !votes to retarget to freeware to "help people searching", because freeware is going to be the first result for a "non-freeware" title search anyways once the redirect is deleted. Ben—Salvidrim!  20:48, 25 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Propose retarget to Commercial software --37.126.12.130 (talk) 00:52, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget per nomination as Business software is not an antonym of freeware. Thryduulf (talk) 13:53, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - vague. Non-freeware is a large galaxy of things that are not commercial software. What about shareware, adware, FOSS, postcardware, .... Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 19:04, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment should this go to Freeware as an {{R from antonym}}, as with unfriend? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 02:08, 31 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to freeware - I agree with AngusWOOF. No other target is a definition of "non-freeware", so let's give them what freeware is. - Richard Cavell (talk) 20:20, 31 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Regarget to Commercial software. If a person is searching for "non-freeware", I think it's more likely they are actually wanting to read about commercial software. That coupled with the fact that non-freeware very closely matches the idea of Commercial software convinces me. I see nominator had already retargeted. • I'm fine with either a retarget to Freeware per Angus or deletion per Ivanvector. Shareware is a good example of non-freeware that's not (necessarily) commercial. -- Tavix (talk) 17:51, 21 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • I also think that going to 'Freeware' makes sense as that article goes into detail about what does and doesn't qualify. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 08:14, 25 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete – Useless and not well-specified in the industry. Readers can use "freeware", "shareware", "free software", "business software", etc. Why should we have "Non-X" for every "X" when the "Non-X" term is not widely used in WP:RS? — JFG talk 13:00, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per JFG. Deryck C. 10:19, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete This is not mentioned anywhere, and its meaning is unclear and ambiguous - does it mean software that is not freeware, or that is not free software? Peter James (talk) 23:03, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
