  • Virtual terraformingLogical topology  (links · history · stats)     [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]

Delete because material associated with this topic was not deemed suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. See Talk:Virtual terraforming and Talk:Logical topology. ~Kvng (talk) 18:51, 17 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - I'm not sure if this might be properly retargeted elsewhere, but going to the 'logical topology' page doesn't seem right. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 00:10, 23 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Similar to below, this is apparently a real surname but notability-wise only a few fictional characters are relevant. Except they appear in different series, so there is no justification for redirecting to Tsukihime and not one of the others. Deletion is better than a set index, as I do not believe an index comprising only fictional characters is useful. Xezbeth (talk) 17:47, 17 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete The name isn't even mentioned in the article anymore. There used to be a characters list for Tsukihime but it got deleted. Aoko Aozaki should redirect to Mahōtsukai no Yoru where Aozaki is the main character. (I've made this change already). AngusWOOF (barksniff) 10:44, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • AokoTsukihime  (links · history · stats)     [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]

This is a given name that has no notable name-holders besides several fictional characters. It should not redirect to a visual novel featuring just one of the characters with this name, so the reader is best served by deletion. One of many, many old User:Tyciol redirects that weren't properly cleaned up. Xezbeth (talk) 17:37, 17 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete searches for news articles bring up news writers with family name Aoko so the fictional character Aoko Aozaki is neither a primary topic nor a mononym Aoko to carry this redirect. I've redirected Aoko Aozaki and Aozaki Aoko to Mahōtsukai no Yoru where she is the main character. There is another Aoko called Aoko Nakamori from Magic Kaito 1412, but these are PTMs per the nom. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 10:49, 18 September 2016 (UTC), updated AngusWOOF (barksniff) 11:17, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
This would also encourage creation of the Aoko article as a name. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 13:41, 19 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Matthew Blair

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was dabify. --BDD (talk) 14:26, 26 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

At the Blair article, there are technically two different "Matthew Blair"s listed, one an American lawyer and another better known as Matty Blair, an English footballer. This redirect should be deleted or made into a WP:DAB page to encourage article creation for the former. --Nevéselbert 16:17, 17 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment - Matthew Albert Blair or "Matt Blair" is also a notable individual with his own page. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 07:10, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete the lawyer from DAB page as non-notable. Not sure which Matthew Blair is more notable (Matt Blair or Matty Blair) so it may be a case of creating a DAB page for two people. I've added hatnotes to each other. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 10:59, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate - Both Matt Blair and Matty Blair should be mentioned at a disambiguation page. As stated above, the lawyer is not notable. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 03:39, 20 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

NEO slang with only one tabloidy source AFAIK. No mention in article, and wrong tone for us per WP:SLANG. No views. Widefox; talk 16:12, 17 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • The conspiracy-effectConspiracy effect  (links · history · stats)     [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]

There is no point in keeping a redirect just because it starts with "The". Marcocapelle (talk) 09:12, 17 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Delete per OP. RegistryKey(RegEdit) 09:41, 17 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. This is a {{R from move}}. The destination article was at the redirect title from creation in August 2015 until minutes before this nomination, so there is a very high liklihood of incoming links from outside Wikipedia, bookmarks, etc. that we should not be breaking. Thryduulf (talk) 10:31, 17 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Thryduulf. Three hits a day over the past 14.5 months is more than natural searches and wikilinks can sustain, so EL are almost certainly in play here. ---- Patar knight - chat/contributions 14:31, 23 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A redirect from a non-notable series to a production company. The redirect is non intuitive and not helpful. Suggest deleting. K.e.coffman (talk) 04:15, 17 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment. This redirect resulted from the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Big Tits at School, where the closing admin did not see a consensus to delete. The title still has relevant incoming links and redirects are cheap. • Gene93k (talk) 15:36, 17 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - It's only linked from DRV, few wikiprojects and some tslkpages, Isn't beneficial to any readers or well anyone really, Far as I can see no articles link to it so may aswell get rid. –Davey2010Talk 20:10, 17 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - My understanding is that some of the incoming links to this page from other Wikipedia pages may have recently been deleted. I'm not quite sure how to check on that though. In any event, I see no reason to second-guess the closing administrator of the above-mentioned AfD at this time. Guy1890 (talk) 01:36, 19 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as obscure synonym at best --Lenticel (talk) 03:16, 20 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as per the above CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 03:40, 20 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Like Guy1890, I see no reason to overturn the closing rationale at the AfD, especially since none of the reasons to delete redirects at WP:R#DELETE are met. There is a mention of this series at the target, so I don't see it as being useless, especially since this series won an industry award . Redirects from works that aren't notable to have their own article to the most relevant article (e.g. song to album, book to author, game to developer) are standard and often kept, especially if there is relevant information at the target.---- Patar knight - chat/contributions 05:07, 24 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - The name of the film occurs four times at the target; redirects don't need to be linked from any page to be useful (many, especially e.g. ones based on typos, won't be); it isn't a synonym. It is mentioned at the target. It was the result of an AfD. It doubles as a preservation of the history of what was formerly an article. All of that almost made me suggest keeping this and refining it to the awards section. However, there are 19 volumes in the film series. The current target doesn't talk about the films, it merely lists a few because of the awards that they won. One of the films is mentioned in a similar manner at Jules Jordan#Awards. There isn't a better target, and I think the search engine handles this adequately.— Godsy (TALKCONT) 11:57, 26 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I am aware of the hatnote but this is ambiguous, and we don't need a dab, for there isn't one on Jingguo as "Ching-kuo" is just an alternative spelling. If not delete, retarget to Chiang Ching-kuo - Champion (talk) (contribs) (Formerly TheChampionMan1234) 03:48, 17 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep it pointed to the fighter jet, which is demonstrably likely to be linked to just as "the Ching-kuo". It seems unlikely that the politician will be linked just by his given name. --Rlandmann (talk) 21:46, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Rlandmann. Use by its own likely refers to the jet, and even if it's more even, there's the hatnote to direct users to the other article. ---- Patar knight - chat/contributions 00:58, 19 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
