The result of the discussion was Keep as being part of the history, meaningful to some and harmless enough in general. Tikiwont (talk) 21:26, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Implausible search term, no contribution history to preserve. —Farix (t | c) 15:07, 31 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - it points to the episode list section of the Major (manga) article, exactly what about that is implausible? Thryduulf (talk) 18:18, 31 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No one is going to put the disambiguation in the search. They may search for List of Major episodes as that is the naming scheme of other anime episode lists, but not this name. —Farix (t | c) 18:35, 31 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
To further clarify why this redirect could be considered confusing or implausible, this redirects to a list of (television) episodes of the anime version of Major. Manga (and other written works) are generally not described as having episodes, but volumes and chapters. The redirect is not pointing at a list of volumes or chapters for the manga Major (that is at List of Major volumes and the subarticles of that article). Because the redirect uses the terms "manga" and "episodes" together, it is confusing as to where the redirect would lead (is it to a list of anime episodes, or to a list of manga volumes/chapters?). It seems unlikely anyone would type this as a search term. Despite that, I'm not sure if the redirect should be deleted, as the list was briefly at that title and the redirect seems pretty harmless. The stats show the people do use this - because the aritcle is at Major (manga) it is not unlikely that people will expect subarticles to have the same naming. As for "episodes" vs "volumes" etc, the target section is titled "Episode list" so searching for it under "episode list" makes sense, Thryduulf (talk) 09:13, 1 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Even though I'm not disagreeing with your suggestion to keep the redirect, your reply makes me think you don't understand the topic. Of course people will search for the episode list by using "episode list", rather than using "volumes". What is less likely is that people will search for the episode list by using the term "manga", as these aren't episodes of the manga, but episodes of the television series. This redirect is kind of like having List of Batman (comic book) episodes as a redirect to List of Batman television episodes, or List of Star Wars (film series) video games as a redirect to List of Star Wars video games. Most people would not expect those articles to be at the titles with the disambiguation in them, and those redirects probably wouldn't see much use. While this situation differs somewhat form those examples in that List of Major episodes was merged into Major (manga), it would still probably be relatively few people who would search for the list using the term "manga", as the list isn't directly related to the manga, but instead related to a television series that was adapted from the manga. Regardless of this, I still don't think there is any good reason to delete the redirect, I just don't want people arguing to keep it based on misunderstanding what it is. Implausible typo Marcus Qwertyus (talk) 12:57, 31 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • delete. Yes this has been around for a long while, but it's not getting any hits above background noise. Thryduulf (talk) 18:16, 31 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep plaudible typo. WilyD 09:26, 1 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep This is a very plausible typo to someone who has the s and d keys next to each other. Randomizer3 (talk) 02:16, 4 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • Also, Even if it was in implausible typo, keep as harmless. Randomizer3 (talk) 02:10, 4 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as an unhelpful redirect; the fact that it's getting so few hits is evidence it's not useful. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 19:32, 5 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
