The result of the discussion was Retarget to Alicia Fox. Ruslik_Zero 18:36, 8 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There is no mention in the target of this person; I note that it was redirected as there was no evidence of notability. Wikiblame, [1], indicates that "Caylee Turner" has never been in the target article.  Chzz  ►  23:39, 29 May 2011 (UTC) part struck; see below  Chzz  ►  06:15, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

@Nikki311, oops, sorry, missed that. Struck, above. The first reasoning still applies though, I think, unless they're at least notable enough with a ref for a mention. And if we're going to redirect elsewhere - that'd be fine, as long as something showed that was her real name (per WP:BLPNAME, etc)  Chzz  ►  06:15, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ill advised redirect... I think the result of a page move. Shadowjams (talk) 22:57, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. Yes, this is the result of a page move. The page was at this title for only the first 2 minutes of it's existence, which was today. Therefore there is as little chance of incomming links, etc as there can be. Thryduulf (talk) 23:13, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wrongly placed Prod with the reason "No mention of this in redirected article. No reliable sources exist that would enable this to be an article by itself." Replaced Prod with this procedural RFD; I have no opinion on the action, if any, that should be taken. TerriersFan (talk) 22:20, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Grand slam (Judo)

The result of the discussion was redirect to Grand Slam (Judo). Killiondude (talk) 17:37, 8 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Redirects to Judo, but there is no information there about the contest. Should be an article by itself, redirecting to Judo really makes no sense. --Tomer T (talk) 20:35, 29 May 2011 (UTC) RFD tag added to redirect and nomination formatting fixed Thryduulf (talk) 22:30, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to Grand Slam (Judo), which I've just created as a disambiguation page between Grand Slam Paris and Grand Slam Tokyo. If the series is notable (I don't know) then that could replace the disambiguation page or be at a title like IJF Grand Slam series, if that's a common name (I don't know). Thryduulf (talk) 22:30, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Grand Slam (Judo) per Thryduulf.---Lenticel (talk) 01:33, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Okay, let it be retargeted. --Tomer T (talk) 11:15, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • There seems to be no good reason to redirect to the judo article. Actually, I'm not seeing the reason for this article or retarget. It seems to only mention 2 of the 4 Grand Slam events and the Grand Slam events are only 4 of the 10 stops on the IJF World Judo Tour. They're not notable/important like the grand slam events in golf or tennis are. Papaursa (talk) 16:57, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • The Grand Slam (Judo) dab page only lists two events because we only have articles for those events. If you're saying they're just parts of the IJF World Tour (I know nothing about the sport) then it would make sense to redirect the articles about them to an article about the tour. However we don't currently have such an article, or about other events on the tour (afaict). Redirecting to the main Judo article doesn't help readers as there is no information about competitions - indeed the words "grand slam" do not appear in the article. So my proposal is, imho, the most helpful for readers based on the current articles on Wikipedia. When other articles are written, optimum targets may change. Thryduulf (talk) 13:52, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
      • Sorry, I'm just not seeing the reason for this page at all. It seems an unlikely search term, but I could easily be wrong about that. If anything, I'd redirect to the IJF (International Judo Federation) article since the world tour is mentioned there. Papaursa (talk) 16:56, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
        • Actually, you're wrong with your assumption that it isn't a likely search term. I bumped into this redirect page while looking for the exact search term (that appeared in the autocomplete feature of the search), after Arik Zeevi won the Grand Slam of Judo. Tomer T (talk) 18:01, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
          • I said I could easily be wrong. What do you think of redirecting it to the IJF article which specifically mentions, albeit briefly, the world tour and grand slam events? Just a thought. Papaursa (talk) 15:53, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
            • I think the disgambulation page Grand Slam (Judo) is better than redirecting to International Judo Federation, since the first page also mentions two actual "Grand Slam" Judo events. One can't understand from the IJF article what are those Grand Slam competitions. Tomer T (talk) 14:01, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
