The result of the discussion was speedy delete as G10 by Thryduulf. NAC. Bridgeplayer (talk) 21:54, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Procedural nomination; article had been nominated at AfD. Rationale from AfD was as follows:

Spam. This GeniusIQ165 has no link with American Idiot album Bonzon (talk) 19:47, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am neutral. —KuyaBriBriTalk 20:08, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Speedy delete - vandalism/attack page and tagged as G10. This redirect was created to insult/harass an IMDb reviewer who, arguably, made an unfortunate choice of handle! This can be seen at this intermediate version, here, and the target's blog here. Bridgeplayer (talk) 21:44, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was DELETE, then RECREATE by splitting the target article. - Nabla (talk) 09:41, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

these clubs are different Postoronniy-13 (talk) 09:30, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • see for example [1] [2] (in Russian) --Postoronniy-13 (talk) 09:39, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • note: some part of FC Ufa edits history is related to the previous team. --Postoronniy-13 (talk) 09:56, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Recreate article by splitting out the history of the target. (This will require admin action.) The refs are clear that these are different clubs. Bridgeplayer (talk) 16:54, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • I believe I originally created the redirect and I was mistaken about this being the same club. Geregen2 (talk) 18:26, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • request for help (by admin) which edits are which? At first glance looks like edits up to (and including) Geregen2 move should go to Bashinformsvyaz-Dynamo Ufa, and the remaining to Ufa? If not, which? - Nabla (talk) 23:09, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • I think that the natural break point is 10 November 2010 when the page was moved. The history up to and including then goes to FC Bashinformsvyaz-Dynamo Ufa and the later history to FC Ufa. Bridgeplayer (talk) 00:21, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • OK, thanks. I'll still include the move/edit from January 3 in the Bashinformsvyaz article as the text is still about it. It will look weird anyway that edit is handled: including in Bashinformsvyaz's while mentioning a move; or including in Ufa's while the text is about another club; or deleting it losing the move and the split... I hope this is the less weird option - Nabla (talk) 09:41, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Rasputin, Grigory Yefimovich

The result of the discussion was keep and restore history. Arbitrarily0 (talk) 20:29, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unused redirect, less than 1 hit per day. Not likely that someone will type this in as a search term. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Otters want attention) 04:33, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep as harmless, although tend to agree people are even more likely to search "Rasputin" rather than his full name, I don's see much harm in keeping his full name - it may help in other search engines e.g. Google to have his middle name (though your evidence seems to suggest not). Si Trew (talk) 06:40, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Restore history, this was created as a separate article and then merged and redirected to the Grigori Rasputin article. The redirect was deleted (against the GFDL) without any discussion that I can find. Thryduulf (talk) 09:25, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Go along with Thryduulf who can see the history that I can't. :-) Bridgeplayer (talk) 15:46, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Endorse Thryduulf's suggestion. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Otters want attention) 00:09, 30 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • I've gone ahead and boldly restored the history, and tagged it as a redir from merge, as technically we need to keep the history for GFDL purposes. The content was merged at some point, thus we are required to keep the history for attribution reasons. Hope no one minds the bold restoration. Regards, --Taelus (talk) 22:06, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - it is not strictly correct to say that this is an unused redirect. Agreed the use is sporadic but it has some utility. For a redirect to be deleted it needs to cause some problem - see WP:RFD#DELETE. The default for harmless redirects, as here, is keep. Bridgeplayer (talk) 23:21, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
